Project 365 #10 - Losing the Battle

So, Friday afternoon I felt it - that weird twinge preceding a urinary tract infection. Sometimes overloading on cranberry keeps it at bay. Not this time - off to the clinic in the morning.

P.S. I really hate the taste of cranberry juice.

P.S.S. Sometimes I really hate being a girl.

Project 365 #9 - Mr. T Worn Out from Bully Stick

Apparently, chewing on a bully stick is extremely hard and exhausting work, as evidenced by Mr. T this evening. Poor guy!

Project 365 #8 - New Stones

I've been really getting into metaphysical crystals and stones lately. A few weeks ago I got myself a selenite pendant (it's supposed to aid in sleep and dispel negativity). I've been reading a lot about Moldavite. Unfortunately, they're danged expensive. I found one for sale on etsy this last weekend for a relatively reasonable price from a place in Nederland and it arrived today, as well as a 9 Planets bracelet that I ordered from MariaShaw.com. I can't wait to work with them and see what comes.

According to the site where I bought it, here is what each of the stones does:

Sun - Orange Jade - vitality, health, energy, happiness
Moon - Moonstone - soothes emotions, increases intuition, safety in travels, brings peace
Mercury - Green Agate - Increases clarity, perception, positive thinking
Venus - Pink Agate - Love, harmony, joy, heals relationships, attraction
Mars - Carnelian - Energy, sex drive, creativity, balance
Jupiter - Yellow Agate - Creates wealth and prosperity
Saturn - Lapis - strength, willpower, healing
Uranus -Amethyst - Aids in psychic abilities, helps one see the truth, spiritual growth and healing
Pluto - Black onyx - dispels negativity, grounding, focus, and structure
Neptune -Fluorite - healing on all levels, dreaming, perception.

Project 365 #7 - Broncos Win Preseason Opener

Broncos season has begun! They beat the Seattle Seahawks (those bitches that killed us in the Superbowl last year) 21-16. I know preseason doesn't count, but a win last night was needed for the morale of those in Broncos Country. I meant to post a screencap of the final score, but of course I was away from the TV when the game ended. GRRRR! A lightening delay in the first quarter made for a late ending. I'll just have to deal with a pic of the interview with Manning in the locker room after the game.

Project 365 #6 - Double Rainbow

Apparently there was a brief rain shower this afternoon (which I totally missed), but I did manage to take in the beautiful double rainbow afterwards.

Project 365 #5 - Pouting Mr. T

So, I'm trying to knit at least one row every night before bed. Mr. T is pouting - probably upset that I'm on "his" pillows.

Project 365 #4 - Stupid Light Rail Construction

The light rail construction project on I-225 is happening right outside my kitchen window. Tonight the lights are aimed right at us. The on-ramp to Northbound 225 from Parker Rd is closed all week, so traffic has been a bear around here.

Project 365 - Reboot Day 1-3

I think I've had "Complete Project 365" as one of the goals on my 101 in 1001 project since I first set it up over 8 years ago. I've also had a goal to fix DomesticGeek since an ExpressionEngine install that went awry (and subsequent server change that broke even more stuff) and get back to blogging on a regular basis. I used to chronicle everything on the old blog and once I got onto Facebook, that pretty much stopped. Someday Facebook could go away and I will have absolutely no record of the life I've lived. Well, I've been itching to get this thing workable again and really feeling the need to accomplish something in my life, so here we go! BTW, if my comments are still broken, I apologize. It's on my list of stuff I need to look at. I'm guessing that since I haven't had spam comments in forever, it probably is broken.

#1 - August 1, 2014 - New markers make this artsy gal extremely happy. I was bummed that they hadn't shown up when I got home from work, but the danged FedEx guy threw them up on the balcony instead of leaving them by the front door like the guy that delivered Marcus' stuff yesterday did. Then I was even more bummed when I went onto Amazon and saw the price had dropped $4 since I ordered them. Grrr! Oh, well...

#2 - August 2, 2014 - Yesterday I was sitting on the patio (at the condo Marcus bought in Aurora in March that was dubbed Homestead South) enjoying some time relaxing and knitting with Mr. T. That dog loves to sunbathe, so I always put his "Princess Pillow" in the sun so he can be comfy.

#3 - August 3, 2014 - It finally cooled off enough this evening that Marcus & I took Mr. T to the Jewell Wetlands for a walk. He got to chase plenty of bunnies.
