Sunday, Sunday

Current mood: hot
It was a record-breaking 100°F today. Oh, Boy!!! No wonder I didn't get squat done today. Marcus actually mowed the lawn in this. That boy is insane. Thank goodness we have an awesome swamp cooler. It's still in the low 80's right now. Ick.

We went to The Armadillo for dinner tonight. I have been absolutely craving Burritos Supreme all day. Marcus ordered some of their Shrimp Poppers. I was hesitant to try one as they had jalapenos in them and I'm a total wuss, but I did and it was sooooo yummay! I might have to have some of them again. They had some guy dressed up in an armadillo suit that was wandering around the restaurant. It was cute for awhile, but by the time he came to our table the 10th time, it got a little old. He would mess up your hair, or try to pick a fight, or pretend he was picking lice out of your hair and eat it, or karate chop your neck. The dude even knocked Marcus' food (in the take-home box) on the floor. Good thing it didn't open up or something. I mean, Marcus and I were trying to have nice dinner conversation and the guy would not just let you ignore him. *sigh*

I know I'm weird, but one of my favorite songs in the whole world is "Barbie Girl" by Aqua. I've had a version that I downloaded on Limewire a long time ago, but I decided to go ahead and download it legit from Apple Music. I was looking at the cover art and I said to myself, "Dang, that cover looks really familiar." I check my CD collection and sure enough, I already own the darned thing. Who knew? So, that begun a heavy duty session of ripping cd's I own into my iTunes. That is one cool program. So is iPhoto. I just love my Mac. Now I just need more money so I can buy an iPod and take my music and data with me everywhere.

Well, I begin classes again this week. I'm a little disappointed because I haven't accomplished squat (except think) in the seven weeks I've taken off. Maybe I needed that, though. Fortunatley, the class I have this module is only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have got time to get myself in gear and do some things before the next module (which will be the class I should've just taken and it is five days per week).

OK, well, I guess I'd better finish this up. I've been washing bedding and I still need to put the bed back together so I can get some sleep. I've got lots to do tomorrow.

Might As Well Jump

I found this link today while blog-hopping. Of course, I have no idea where I found it now. It is so cool. There are soooo many old video games that I actually remember playing in my younger days.

Blah

Current mood: sad bear depressed
Sorry there has been no posting lately. I've just been feeling so blah. Camping was fun. I had a really good time. That's probably part of the problem now. I want to do more stuff like that, but I can't while I'm stuck at my totally sucky job working with totally stupid people. School resumes next week and I'm not even looking forward to that. I'm sure things will be fine once I get going again. I'm just having the "Am I wasting my time again?" feelings about school. It totally sucks.

I've gained about 15 lbs. in the last two months. Between depression and lack of walking at work, I guess. So, that sucks.

Anyway, we went camping at Rainbow Lakes Campground. Marcus took us on the Caribou 4x4 trail to get us there. That's where the guys from KBPI had their "mudfest" back in September 2000. I posted pics from the trip here.

Well, that's it for now. I've got to get to work. *sigh*

An Invite

Since I don't know if you have changed your email settings from attbi to comcast yet and am not sure if you got my email and I know you read the ol' weblog:

Hey Dad!

Marcus and I are BBQing on the 4th and you are more than welcome to come. Unless something horrific happens on our camping trip, that is. I'll call you on Friday.

Love Your Darling Daughter,
Donna

I’m Meeeeeeeelting

Current mood: hot bear hot
Happy July!!

I am such a baby about being hot. I could tell it was going to be warm when I let the dog out at 6:30 this morning. Ugh! The old weather pixie down there says it 90°F now. Whoo Hoo!

I have some stuff in storage that I wanted to get for our trip. One look after I opened the door and I totally changed my mind about that. One of these days I'm going to have to go try and rearrange that thing. Today was not the day.

Well, I'm working on cleaning out my blogroll. I don't know what is more sad: that many people are no longer blogging, or it's been so long that I've gone through all my links that I didn't realize they weren't blogging. *sigh*

I posted some pictures that I took of Marcus testing out our new tent.

Ok, well, I've got to get to work so I can get to Gart's and get the stuff that I didn't have the energy to look for in storage. Ta Ta!
