Shopping Sucked…Not At First

Current mood: tired bear drained
Have I mentioned that I HATE shopping?

I had to go to WalMart today for the necessities (tp, paper towels, shampoo, deodorant, etc.). Is it so freakin' hard for people to say "Excuse Me" once in a while? I was looking at some storage containers that I need to organize my scrapbooking mess and this one dumb bitch just stands there giving me the evil eye. A simple "excuse me" would've made me move over to let her have a look. I went to a different aisle to look at some other containers and she shows up over there, too. I gave her the crustiest look I could manage and she left. I went over to the toiletries section and it was like a totally different world. People were being polite, excusing themselves, and smiling at each other. It was almost bearable. It's amazing how far a little common courtesy goes. It's really a shame that a lot of people were either not taught or refuse to use their manners.

I went to Lowes next as I still need storage containers and some cork tiles for a bulletin board. I left because I couldn't get anybody to help me. I really prefer Home Depot, so I'll try there tomorrow.

The final stop was King Soopers. I really miss being able to shop in the middle of the night (like I used to be able to do when I was a closing pizza driver). People in a grocery store act like sharks in a feeding frenzy. Drives me crazy. A good thing was they were carrying some of the new SoBe flavors that I wanted to try. That particular KS must have the slowest checkers in the state, though. The guy whose line I chose was ticked that it was past the time for his break and the checker that was supposed to relieve him was shooting the breeze with another checker and the head clerk wasn't doing anything about it. He was so busy bitching about the whole thing with the caddie that he wasn't doing his job. This is the kind of crap that stupid unions produce.

Does no one make sweat pants anymore? I used to buy them at either WalMart or Kmart, but they don't have any. I even checked the men's section. I've tried looking online and everything. I really, really need some new sweat pants!!!

Marcus is watching the Wrestlemania tape that someone at work lent him. I used to be big into wrestling, but I just can't get into it anymore. Ever since Vince McMahon bought up the entire wrestling world and all the old guys like Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan are back, it's just ridiculous.

Well, I guess I better get to bed. I'm sleepy.
