Well, my Cisco exam went better than expected. I got a 94% and the three questions I missed were stupid mistakes. Good thing it was multiple choice.

I want to change my blog's template to a halloween theme, but I must not be the only one looking for halloween graphics. A lot of sites are giving the message that they're over the allocated bandwidth. Damn. I guess I better start looking for Thanksgiving and Christmas graphics soon or I'll have to make them myself and I don't have that kind of time right now.
Anyway, here's what is going on at work that has got me so distraught. I've already written about how crappy sales are and how I tried telling the owner almost a year ago that he had a major problem and he chose to ignore me. He didn't give me a straight answer when I asked if I could keep one of the stores for a part-time job for Marcus and I after I find a "real" job. Well, I was talking to one of the head managers yesterday and found out that the owner didn't pay any of the managers their bonuses for last month. No warning, no reduction, just flat out refused to pay them. That's another beef I've had about the way he runs his stores. He has always paid a flat dollar amount for a bonus each month to his managers. Most other owners pay a percentage of sales and thus an incentive for the store to do well. I was also told that the stores are "supposedly" losing thousands of dollars a week. The owner claimed he had to cash in some IRA's, cleaned out his savings and had to sell two of his cars. Poor baby. If things are so bad, why does he not get his ass into the stores and start working and actively try to fix things? He's still trying to be an absentee owner. I hate to tell him this, but refusing to pay bonuses is not going to inspire these dorks to manage better or increase sales. Well, not that I really care about any of that anymore, but the manager also told me that the payroll check for one of the stores supposedly bounced. Things like that could affect me. I'm waiting for him to up and pull the plug on my job without notice. That's where last night's bad dreams came in. I was having dreams about not being able to find other work and having to go back to driving at the first store I worked. What a nightmare. I used to think that the owner was a financial genius. It just turns out he had a run of good luck. What a joke.
