This one time, at band camp...no, seriously, I did go to band camp and was even a counselor for a few summers. One of the things that I used to love about our camp was the recreation building that had several
Table Tennis and pool tables. Everybody wanted to use them and we would wait in line for our turn. It always amazed me how competitive you could get with someone else over paddles and a small plastic ball. Even the camp director couldn't resist squaring off against some of the campers! I had gotten to a point where I was actually quite good at it. Growing up, our family couldn't afford to get a real table. We tried to make one on our dining room table when I was in high school (mom bought a cheap kit), but it wasn't the same as playing on a regulation table.
It had totally slipped my mind how much I enjoyed playing and how I had promised myself that when I was an adult I would get myself a table until I saw Weird Al playing
Table Tennis in his "White and Nerdy" video. Marcus and I had planned on getting a pool table once we get this house on a basement foundation, but I'm thinking we should get a
Table Tennis table, too.

I spent a whole 8 hours at the new job today. Cool! They've been really behind in the "grunt" work, so the weekend prepress manager kept thanking me over and over for coming in and helping them get caught up. Hey, no problem! I'll certainly appreciate the extra income come payday. I spent the whole time bent over a table taping press flats together, so my lower back and feet are killing me. I'm going to go fill up the jacuzzi tub and take a nice long soak!

The art show last night was ok. It was good seeing people I hadn't seen in awhile. It's kind of sad seeing less art and more nursing school stuff. I wonder how long it will be before the graphic desgin program is totally gone. I'll be really surprised if there even is an art show next year. I guess we'll see.
Dad and I went out to the cemetary this morning to visit mom's grave. I spaced that they would be doing stuff out there at Fort Logan commemorating Veterans Day today. We stopped at BeauJo's for lunch on the way back. Those stuffed mushrooms I love so much were on a happy hour appetizer special of only $2.00, I got an order of them all to myself. YUM! I want to know how to make those. I can't quite recreate them. *sigh*
My neck is jacked up. I don't know what I did to it, but I was in so much pain this afternoon that I felt like I would puke everytime I stood up. It hasn't hurt this bad in a long time. I spent the afternoon on a heating pad watching
X-Men 3: The Last Stand. I really wanted to do some cross stitch right now, but my neck hurts too bad to hold my head up right to work on it.
The weekend manager at my new job can use my help on her shifts, so I'm going to go in tomorrow to get a few extra hours. Yay for some more hours and some more experience. That will help since I'm not making squat with paid blogging right now.
With Christmas a mere six weeks away, I'm going to have to find some sort of part time retail or something to do in the evenings. I need to get my car fixed and registered so that I can quit using Marcus' other vehicle. I need to pay Marcus back the money I've borrowed. I need to get my bills caught up. My student loan that I put into forbearance will kick in again soon. *sigh*
I still can't find that template that I wanted to use for my wordpress installation. I went through all of my history and didn't come across it. I must have seen it more than a week before I started looking for it. Dang, there are a lot of wordpress template sites out there and most the designs SUCK!
OK, I'm gonna finish watching the episode of 24 (season 3) that I'm in the middle of and head to bed.

For as important a garment as a bra is for a woman, we sure don't get the proper education on how to find the right one. It's always a trial and error, mostly error, process. It also doesn't help that when you find a good-fitting, flattering bra style, the manufacturer discontinues it. I wish there was a computer program written where you could input your measurements and hit a "
find bra size" button and it would point you to your perfect bra. Sigh, no such luck. It makes it worse finding a proper bra because I'm a big gal that needs
big bras. Most plus-sized bras are designed for fit women, but with more fabric or elastic. Those sure don't work or last very long. I'm still on a quest to find the "right" bra. Maybe I'll have to go to one of those specialty stores like I saw on the show "Starting Over" once where there are bra experts. Especially since I'd really like to invest in some different types of bras, such
sports bras. I'll find you yet, Perfect Bra!

Tonight is the annual art show at my old school, Platt College. Some of my old friends should be there as well as most of the staff that I loved so dearly! I'm so glad I found a job this week because I was seriously contemplating not going if I was still unemployed. I didn't really want to answer the question of what I was doing now by saying, "Nothing, I'm unemployed." Especially if I happen to run into that guy that I shared an office with at my last job (he's still a student there). I have a job in the field now and as soon as I'm full time, all will be good.
Well, guess I'd better go get ready and go!
