I Miss Playing Table Tennis

This one time, at band camp...no, seriously, I did go to band camp and was even a counselor for a few summers. One of the things that I used to love about our camp was the recreation building that had several Table Tennis and pool tables. Everybody wanted to use them and we would wait in line for our turn. It always amazed me how competitive you could get with someone else over paddles and a small plastic ball. Even the camp director couldn't resist squaring off against some of the campers! I had gotten to a point where I was actually quite good at it. Growing up, our family couldn't afford to get a real table. We tried to make one on our dining room table when I was in high school (mom bought a cheap kit), but it wasn't the same as playing on a regulation table.

It had totally slipped my mind how much I enjoyed playing and how I had promised myself that when I was an adult I would get myself a table until I saw Weird Al playing Table Tennis in his "White and Nerdy" video. Marcus and I had planned on getting a pool table once we get this house on a basement foundation, but I'm thinking we should get a Table Tennis table, too.
