Don’t Panic

I wish people wouldn't panic when bad things happen. Stocking up on food, waiting in line for gasoline, etc. are not necessary for the kind of tragedy experienced yesterday. I couldn't believe it when I heard some gas stations in the midwest were charging $5/gallon for gasoline. I know people feel the need to do SOMETHING when they feel powerless; however, acting on irrational fears often make them come true. I can't wait to see how people react to the NY Stock Exchange being closed for most of a week. Try to live as normal a life as possible. If you give in to your fears and quit living your life, the terrorists won.

I also feel terribly sad that it takes an event like this to make people feel patriotic. They were talking on the news about how there has been a rush on purchasing American flags. Everyone should already own one to fly proudly on any given patriotic holiday.
