There was no movie…

Went to see "The Matrix Reloaded" for the second time with Marcus last night. It really is a good flick. I have noticed one thing--either a person really likes this movie or they really hate it. Maybe it's just too deep for some people and since any type of thinking or stimulation whatsoever makes their brains hurt, they don't like it. Maybe the fact that it didn't tie up into a nice, neat little package at the end and they have no patience to wait six months to see the conclusion really pissed them off. Regardless, I like how it is making me think and I've learned a lot of things while trying to understand this movie. I hope that when the last one is out, the dudes that wrote them will reveal some (if not all) of the religious, mythological, philosophical, etc. connotations. Somehow I doubt it, though. The Wachowski brothers seem to be rather secretive. There are, however, many people all over the internet offering up their theories. One site I've been visiting alot recently is Matrix Essays. I found it while trying to help Marcus research the significance of the names of people/places/ things in "The Matrix." The author of that site wrote a cute Dr. Seuss parody:

OK, everybody. Here it is, what EVERYONE on the Internet has been searching for: A link to the Toys 'R' Us Singing Bunnies Commercial. Enjoy!!!

Awesome, Dude!

Current mood: cheerful bear impressed
Mike, Nina, Dave, Marcus and I went to see "Ghosts of the Abyss" today on the IMAX screen at I-25/Colorado Blvd. It was so freakin' awesome, man! I wasn't sure I wanted to see it based on the trailer I saw, but after hearing Mike Rosen talk about it last Friday on KOA, I knew I had to go see it. The 3-D effects were totally cool. It was also neat to see the actual Titanic photos that depicted the wreckage you were seeing. Also, an amazing thing happened--a theater full of kids and they were all so mesmerized that none of them acted up. It was heaven. Even though the price is a little steep ($10 per ticket), I suggest that everyone go see it. There's no way you could experience that movie properly with seeing it on a BIG screen.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

My new favorite commercial (I first saw it last night) is for the Toys 'R' Us Easter sale. It starts out with a single white bunny singing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." Then more bunnies join in until Geoffrey the Giraffe pleads with one bunny that they'll have an Easter sale if he'll make the rest stop singing. There's one scene that looks kind of like a portrait we took of our bunnies for Easter last year. It's cracking me up.

UPDATE: Here is a link to the commercial. Thanks, Rob!!!!!

UPDATE 3/29/04: The link was for Easter 2003. It doesn't work this year, but if anyone does find the commercial, post a comment and let everyone know. Thanks!

UPDATE 3/31/04: A commenter provided this link where you can see the commercial.

Tech Tv

I guess yesterday was Chris Pirillo's last day as host of Call for Help on TechTv. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about that. I used to spend every waking moment watching TechTv. I haven't watched it at all since I went back to delivering. When I'm home, there is always something lame on that channel now. It's not the helpful, informative channel that it used to be.
