Did Ya Miss Me?

I took a much needed blogging break yesterday. I spent the afternoon helping Marcus organize his office at work. I designed my Christmas card in my head, so I'm going to making those over the next couple of days so I can get them in the mail by early next week. If you want one, just send me your snail mail addy via email. Then I painted some more wooden balls for my crocheted popcorn garland. As soon as I do some posting here, I'm going to crochet while watching Ugly Betty on ABC's website. Since we lost our East/West coast stations from Dish Network on Thursday (all thanks to FOX, we later found out), there are just some shows I'm not going to be able to watch if they don't have them on their web sites. The senate has a bill to allow some "distant channel" services for some satellite subscribers, but even if it passes, Marcus and I won't be eligible. *sigh* That sucks. I really liked having the New York affiliates. Oh, well. We went ahead and downgraded out satellite package, as well. If only we could get rid of shopping channels, public interest and religious stations. That is over 30 channels right there that I will NEVER watch. What a waste. I really wish they would offer an a la carte type system, like pick 50 channels YOU WANT for $39.95 or something. Maybe someday.

Don’t Forget

Tomorrow is the first day of December...don't forget to say "Rabbit Rabbit" as the first thing you say tomorrow!

Wow, look at that — only two days this month didn't get posts of any kind.

That Raccoon is Becoming a Pest

Marcus took me to Wing Stop for some chickeny goodness. We had a nice evening chatting and enjoying our food. It's so awesome how we are totally comfortable with each other and still have intelligent, thought-provoking conversations. I'm so lucky to have him.

Anyway, I'm walking behind him from the car to the front door and suddenly Marcus jumps back, runs smack dab into me and tromps on my foot. There, sitting between us and our front door is a stupid raccoon. I'm pretty sure by the size of it, it's the same one from two nights ago. I was throwing ice at it and Marcus heaved a chunk of loose concrete at it and it wouldn't budge. Geez, I'm really starting to hate that thing. I don't know why it's hanging around here. It's not like we have trash or food outside. Grrrrr.

Tuesday WrapUp

Well, we never got to the record-breaking temperature we were promised today, but it did get up to 68°F. I had planned on hosing the spider webs off of the siding this afternoon, but WalMart and some double-over in pain cramps put a crimp in that plan. I hate it how early the sun goes down now. Grrrr.

I'm looking forward to getting off work tomorrow afternoon. It's cheesecake baking time! Whoo Hoo! I love making cheesecake.

OK, I'm going to finish watching Veronica Mars and head off to bed. I have a date with a heating pad.

Stupid WalMart

Good old Aunt Flo decided to drop in for an early holiday visit today. I really hate that when I'm not on the pill, I really have no idea when it will start. Anyway, I stopped in at the WalMart up on Parker/Chambers because I also needed to get some deep dish pie plates. My pumpkin pie recipe makes just a little too much filling for two regular pies. I totally forgot about that when Dad and I were at the store last week since the last few years I've been getting those frozen pie crusts already in the foil tins. Anyway, the losers had stocked the thin pads in about four different spots and so they had neither of the kind I normally get. They also had no deep dish pie pans (foil, glass or metal). I ended up going to King Soopers. Should've just gone there in the first place. *sigh*
