aggravated
Where did all my time off go?! Granted, I did have almost five days of no work/school, but it wasn't enough. I still have so much I need to accomplish and the school/work ratrace begins all over again tomorrow. It felt so good to get things crossed off my list--the dog is totally shaved and has had a bath, my craft room is ready to put stuff back into it, I can walk through my kitchen again, I got to do some cooking, we can see the top of the dining room table...
I still have so much to do, though--my desk is a pit, I have to design some buttons for Marcus, I need to get my stuff out of storage in town so that I can get the stuff cleared out of the Bennett storage place. *sigh*
Well, I guess I better get some laundry done and clean up the kitchen before I head off to bed.

confused
Mike and Nina came over this evening. I made taco pizza for dinner, then Mike and Marcus played Diablo while Nina and I watched "
Kate and Leopold" and "
Memento". Memento was too weird. It made my head hurt to watch it. It was a really good story, though.

Dang it. Why do I need money? Not working Tuesday-Thursday was really fun, but it is really going to hurt me financially. I'm supposed to be off the whole weekend, but I offered to work tonight (one driver is still stuck in San Francisco and can't get a flight into Denver until Saturday and another older driver hurt himself shoveling snow). If I didn't need the money, I wouldn't. I even told the manager I'd go ahead and make dough. I can't afford a whole week of no money coming in. *sigh*
I made it in to make dough, yesterday. It took four hours to get my car out and Marcus and I got sunburned. The plow guy kept getting stuck and he broke his plow trying to clear the snow on our street. What a mess! I knew there would be no way I could deliver when I saw the conditions of the side streets. Fortunatley, the manager convinced the owner to stay closed for one more day. I doubt they're in much better shape today, though. Oh, well.
On a brighter note, my craft room is almost all back together. Marcus and I finally got my Christmas desk all set up. I can't wait to use it. I contacted the
Dimensions company to see if I can get new instructions for my kit. I'm really anxious to get started on it. I heard on the radio yesterday that the roof of the Michaels craft store in Aurora caved yesterday. I wonder how bad the damage was.
I need to redesign my whole web site. I think I'm going to start a craft blog to keep track of progress on various projects I've got going. Most of the rest of my site is soooooo out of date and I want a new blog design. Damn, why do I need money?

Current mood:
disappointed
When I went to storage yesterday, I came across a Dimensions Charles Wysocki cross-stitch kit that I have called
Maggie the Messmaker that I've been wanting to work on. I figured that since I'm homebound that now would be a great time to get started on it. Well, no instructions! Apparently, I've taken them out to copy them or read them and they've gotten separated from the kit. I don't have a clue where they could possibly be. How depressing!

Current mood:
full
Well, we got even more snow last night and into today, so no school or work. Yippee!! As of now the official total for Denver is 29.5 inches. I've read that Aurora got as much as 40". I managed to get my craft room almost done. Marcus and I played in the snow again and we got Skippy to come out for a bit--more pictures
here. I'm thinking there won't be school tomorrow either and our "spring break" is on Friday, so no school the rest of the week. The manager told me today that he's really going to try and open up tomorrow. I hope we can't, but I do need the money since I'm taking the weekend off.
Our friend Dave came over and had dinner with us. I made a lasagna. Yum! I ate two big pieces, that's why I'm so full.
We got the news about an hour ago that the war in Iraq has started. I worry for our troops, but it's about time this thing got underway.
