Sleepless in Byers

I haven't gotten more than 4 hours of sleep per night since Marcus has been gone. I just don't sleep well when he's not home. I keep trying to make myslf go to sleep early, but next thing I know it's like 11 or 12 and I'm still awake. It sucks. I should be dropping dead about now, but I'm not. I am going to go make myself take a nap now. I just hope I get some rest before I get sick or have an accident at work or something.

Have I mentioned before that I hate the highway system in Denver? Especially where traffic merges. My least favorite spot right now is where Southeast bound I-270 merges with East bound I-70. You basically have 3 lanes of traffic trying to become one. It's the most stupid design I have ever seen. Traffic is bad there all the time, not just during rush hours. Today (around noon) there was a multi-car pileup at Havana involving a couple of semis and a couple of other cars that was blocking two of those lanes. Top it off with the fact that they're resurfacing I-70 along there and it was a nightmare. Normally I watch how I-70 traffic is moving and if it isn't, I'll jump off on Quebec and take side streets (usually 56th to Tower if I'm going home or Alameda to Peoria if I'm going to school). Today I was daydreaming or something and I had just passed Quebec when I knew I was going to have a problem. It took almost a half hour to get from Quebec to Havana. Plus some asshole in a Cherokee was tailgating me the whole time -- like riding my ass is going to make traffic move any faster.

The jerkoff manager who's got me pissed off this week (the loser who screwed up Saturday - crashed computer, was making my dough) strikes again. I don't know what he was doing when he was making my dough, but it's proofing funny. Yay. Nobody better try to blame me for that.

Ok, I'm off to try to take a nap.

Netflix

I forgot to mention that I signed up for Netflix the other night. $19.95 per month for unlimited DVD rentals is not too shabby. I got my first three movies in the mail today. Neat, huh?

TV stuff

They actually put Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald to death on "Passions" today. Good, she totally got on my nerves. I thought Julian would show up in the nick of time to stop it. I'm glad I was wrong. I'm not too hip on the new Ethan yet.

I watched "Not Another Teen Movie" on Pay Per View last week. Chyler Leigh, the main character, looked like the girl that played Tuesday on "That 80's Show." While doing a search on the old internet to see if it was indeed the same person, I find that "That 80's Show" was cancelled. Damn Fox, anyway. I was really beginning to like that show. CBS has also appeared to have dropped "Baby Bob." One site says that it will return mid-season, but I'll believe it when I see it. Bob will be a whole year older by then and it probably won't be as funny. NBC dropped "Watching Ellie," another show I really enjoyed. But they can keep that stupid "Scrubs" show on the air practically every night of the week. I'm not happy about this. Oh, well, if I can't find anything decent on TV, I might actually get other stuff done.

Of course, the one good thing is that Dr. Phil (from Oprah) is getting his own show. I'm glad I have a PVR.

Missing Marcus

Current mood: sad bear lonely
Man, I really miss Marcus. It's weird being home alone. The dogs are really missing him, too. Every time Skippy goes outside, he stares at Marcus' truck. He can't figure out why it's there if Marcus isn't home.

Money

I really, really, really, really, really need to find a way to bring in some extra cash. Unfortunatley, with my work and school schedule, there's no way to take on another part-time job. I also don't have a bunch of stuff to sell on eBay. Any ideas?

(Oh, and selling myself is not an option.)
