One thing I miss since the Coomers crafts malls went out of business is the one seller who had a booth with
Burt's Bees products. Burt's Bees produces a really good lip balm. Sure, you can go to the health food stores to get some of them, but I really hate going there. For some reason, I feel out of place. I found a great online site called
N101 Nutrition that not only carries a lot of products in the Burt's Bees line, but many other well-known brands of nutritional supplements, vitamins, herbs, sports nutrition and natural beauty products. That reminds me that I really need to find a new vitamin supplement. I'm almost out of mine and though it worked pretty well, it was really expensive. Fortunately, this site offers everyday low pricing and many of their items include volume discounts.
N101 Nutrition also has a
rewards program where you earn 1 point for every dollar spent that can later be redeemed for select product discounts or free merchandise.
Besides just listing the products for sale, the company provides detailed information including ingredients and facts about each one. There are also many articles and guides to help you choose the right products or to get more information about health and supplement topics. I'm definitely going to be delving further into this site.

The Office is a repeat tonight...already? What the hell? I really hate the way network television works anymore. It used to be every show premiered the same week, had a half season run, did repeats around the holidays, came back in January with new shows or those that tanked were replaced. During those repeat times, you could watch shows on other networks that you missed. Now? Who knows? They start the season whenever they feel like it, none of the networks are the same. Even a single network doesn't have all of its shows on the same schedule. One show during an evening might be new and the one right after a repeat. It's dang frustrating, I tell you.
I watched all of the Ugly Betty episodes on ABC's website today. Several people around the net have raved about it, so I checked it out. It wasn't bad. Not something I would care much if I missed, but not bad. I caught up with Jericho finally. I still get the willies every time they talk about Denver having been hit or Denver's not there anymore. *shudder*
I really need to whittle down my sidebar. I'm sick of how long it is. I may just make myself a links page or something and take all of that extra crap out of there. Hmmm. Gonna have to think on that one.
OK, I guess I'd better go. My darned mouse is dying and I need to charge it.

I went ahead and installed
Firefox 2.0 today. I wasn't even aware that it was available yet. Marcus mentioned it last night, so I checked it out. I haven't noticed a problem so far. There is a build-in form spell checker that will hopefully help me catch some of the errors in typing that I've been having lately. There were only two extensions I have installed that weren't compatible and one of those is now a built-in feature. The other just allows you to manage stuff in the search bar, so hopefully it will get updated soon. If not, I don't use it much, so no real loss. The only thing I was really worried about was that Sage extension that I installed yesterday. I spent a lot of time putting links into that thing. Works great still!
I'm going to go lay down for a bit. I have a huge headache and horrible cramps.

How did it get to be Wednesday again already?
I really wished I had known last May how bad the employment environment around here was (especially for graphic designers) before I told the owner of the company I was working for that I wanted to find another job. Every time that loser from there calls, I keep hoping it's to get my old job back. I hated it, but at least it was in the field and I was making an income.
I really wish I could move somewhere else. Unfortunatley, we can't afford to move this stupid house again and besides, Marcus now has a decent paying job. Even if he wanted to leave (he doesn't), he can't. So I'm stuck. I'm either going to have to do some kind of retail or go back to pizza (if any of those places will even hire me). Of course, I couldn't be a driver because my plates are expired and my brakes are shot. I'm not looking for advice or job leads, I just need to vent about how my self-esteem is in the toilet, how my levels of motivations are sinking and it sucks that Christmas is coming and not only do I not have a job or any prospects for a job, I have no money, either. I can't even sell anything because I don't own anything. I've already gotten rid of everything that I personally own of any value. Even my computers I use aren't really mine.
The tears are flowing too hard to continue this. I'm going to go take a hot shower and get back to sending out fruitless resumes.

I started checking out using RSS readers right around the Blogathon. I didn't really have time to implement one beforehand, though. I know it would've made keeping up with the various sites a lot easier.
I pretty much forgot about it until this whole PPP Puzzle hooplah. During the first contest, it was mentioned in the forums that PPP has an rss feed for the opps. I started using that to check for new pieces. I started playing with Google's beta rss reader, but sometimes it freezes up the my browser window. It's also hard to add feeds (you have to type them in individually since you can't drag/drop or import an opml). I found somebody that recommended Netvibes and I tried that, too. Wasn't totally impressed with that one, either. I found a
Firefox extention called Sage that runs an RSS reader in your sidebar. I've been playing with it for a couple of hours and I really like it so far. They have a lot of stylesheets on their site that you can change the look of the feed preview with. Since it runs in the browser, I can click the rss icon in the address bar and add it right to the correct rss folder. It's pretty nifty. I'll have to figure out how to export my list to be able to use it on the many computers I use.
Man, I love using Firefox.
