Since I'm rather poor right now, there will be no pumpkin massacre for me, so I'm going to have to make due with the next best thing:
Virtual pumpkin carving.

Hey, there's a lunar eclipse going on right now. I absolutely love these things. Of course, I love full moons, too. I tried to get some pics, but there is a thin cloud layer out tonight. Oh, well. There's another one in 2007 or something. Maybe I'll have a tripod and a telephoto lens for my camera by then! LOL
Tomorrow is Marcus and my
12th anniversary. Wow, sometimes it seems like just yesterday that we met and other days it feels like a lifetime. It is hard to believe that he still puts up with me and still loves me after all this time. I'm a lucky lady.
A
woman's body was found Monday by a dumpster behind the place where I used to work. I drove by there that morning on my way back from something I wanted to check out on Wadsworth and saw all the police cars blocking off the shopping center. I thought maybe the liquor store had been burglarized or something. I had no idea they had found a body until I was on the highway on the way home. I hope they find the creeps that did that to that poor woman. It creeped me out because I used to have no qualms about heading out into that alley to take out trash in the early morning when I worked there. (shudder)
I really want the new new
iPod Photo. That is so cool that you can display the album art while you listen to your pod. It's neat that you can carry your photo library with you, too. It can be plugged into a TV to make slide shows for your friends and relatives. Too cool. I think the
U2 iPod is kind of dumb, but then, I hate U2. I guess it's a neat thing if you're a U2 fan.
I need to rent some movie called
Smoke and write a report for next week's communication class. I had never heard of it. I hope it is a decent movie. Has anybody ever seen it?
The
Boston Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals to win the World Series. Yay, now I can get back to watching That 70s Show on Fox.
Have I mentioned that I'm in heavy duty Harry Potter withdrawl?

Thank goodness that's over. The show lasted from 6-9. I was so freaking bored after about an hour of standing by my portfolio. I took a few minutes to stroll around and look at other people's stuff and knew there was no way I was going to win a ribbon (not even an honorable mention) for my portfolio. That's cool, though. Some of the students do some really neat, out-of-the-box stuff. Three of the four ribbon winners have been in for awhile or completed the bachelor program, so they should have cooler stuff in their portfolios. Anyway, my feet hurt and all I wanted to do was go home. One good thing that happened was I got to see a woman that I haven't seen since she graduated a while ago and I really missed her. Well, I'm tired and I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow (got to clean up this mess I made with the portfolio today), so G'night.

Sorry about the absence lately. I've got the Platt Art Show tonight and I've been trying to get my portfolio polished for it. Sadly, I am not looking forward to this one as much as last year's because, except for the portfolio, I'm not entering anything. I know my portfolio won't win best of show because I know of at least one portfolio that is way more awesome than mine. Oh, well. The accident put the kabash on any plans I had of getting anything done for the show. Well, at least there is next year, right? Next year won't be a year ending in "4", so things are bound to be better.
