Domestic Geek

Yesterday, both Marcus and I had a queasy tummies. We thought it might have been the coffee we both drank mid-day. Well, I've been feeling out of sorts all day and starting feeling really crappy about a half hour before I got off work. I've spent the majority of the evening curled up on the sofa shivering under a quilt while watching television. I know I've got a slight fever, but I'm trying to let my body take care of itself. I hope whatever is making me feel like crap moves on quickly. I don't have time for this.

I just had a thought...I wonder if this is related to mosquitoes. With all the rain we've had and as humid as it has been, I did notice the danged things are kind of thick outside. I got bit a little bit yesterday.

I'm just three short months away from going to Las Vegas, baby! I can't wait. I'm already making a list of things I need to get: laptop battery, new camera, better iPod earphones, etc. I'm going to have a blast!

I heard the most disturbing thing on the television today while eating breakfast at the Flying J restaurant this morning. Viagra is using Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas" song in their television ads. I was seriously wondering what The King would think about his music being used in such a way. I think it was tactless and totally inappropriate.

In an effort to get the cash together for my Vegas trip, I've started doing freelance design again. I'll have my site up by the end of the week, but in the mean time, if anybody reading this needs any graphic design services (print or web), I'm available. I was on a site called Oh! Crafty Me and she had the most wonderful piece of fabric that she had found at a place called Reprodepot. I'd love to have this wonderful pattern with sewing supplies pictured below. There are so many adorable patterns there. They are a little pricey, but I'll definitely keep this site in mind when I'm looking for something special.

Do you want to know why I don't do web design for a living even though I studied it? IE. Yep, that stupid web browser...the spawn of the browser world let forth upon this earth by those jerks over at Microsoft. It is its own monster. I hate making a perfect good layout that looks absolutely lovely in every browser known to man EXCEPT Internet Explorer. I then hate wasting hours upon hours trying to figure out why things won't line up by one pixel. Grrrrr.

I've got a chancre sore on my gum which is apparently hitting a nerve that runs down my jaw and into my ear. Owwwwwwww!

The pillow was awesome, the little bit I got to sleep on it. I was wide awake at midnight last night. *sigh* Guess who commandeered it the minute I got up this morning, though. Guess someone needs to get himself one of his own.
