Dust Storm

I want to post something on Marcus' board to tell those idiots what I think of them, but at the same time I don't want to stoop to their level and be part of the problem. Dang me for having a conscience.

The weirdest wind storm came up while I was driving home from school today. It was like driving in a blizzard of fallen leaves. Except for the fact that all the dust that was stirred up triggered an allergy attack, it was really cool.

I didn't totally lose my cleaning mood. Just cleaned all the dead food out of the fridge (yuck!) and took the trash out. Man, I'd keep cleaning if I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. Dang.

You’re As Bad As Girls

Current mood: disappointed
Why are there so many miserable people in the world with pathetic little lives who feel the need to ruin things for everyone? I've been a spectator to all the cattiness going on in blogworld. I thought it was only women pulling this shit. Unfortunately, men are just as bad. My boyfriend has a messageboard on his site where he and his friends can exchange information, etc. Recently a couple of people have been flaming everyone else. It got so bad that the board became a medium only for flinging insults and they were getting totally out of hand. Marcus decided he had to draw the line and start removing these type of posts. They had to go a ruin a perfectly good forum for everybody else. Now the only posts are people making fun of Marcus for his decision. What a bunch of losers. I'm really angry that these are supposed to be Marcus' friends and they're acting like this. I'd hate to see how they'd be if they were enemies.

Hangman

I was just playing hangman. Dang that was hard. I didn't get one single word right. I'm usually pretty good at games like that. I'll be going there againwhen I have more time.

Housework Mood

Current mood: energetic
Wow, I'm actually in the mood to do housework today. That rarely happens. Unfortunatley, I have to leave for school in a hour (although today is the first day of Unix 4 and I'm REALLY looking forward to it). I'm sure the housework mood will be gone by 4 p.m. when I get home, but at least I got more done this morning than I have in weeks.

I feel pretty good this morning. It's amazing how much not having to go to that crap job does for my psyche. I'm also not having any kind of allergy attacks right now (knock on wood). As I figured, nobody bothered to get me any flour for yesterday. The manager claims he'll catch up the dough since it was his fault he didn't order enough flour. We'll see. If he doesn't, I don't really care at this point. I'll make them up when I'm damn good and ready. If that's the end of the week, so be it. If the pizzas taste like crap because the dough isn't proofed enough, who cares?

Dang Broncos lost again. The San Diego Chargers won 27-10. Oh, well. I'm trying not to be a fair weather fan, but I'm just not excited about the season this year. I didn't watch or listen to any of the game yesterday. In fact, I totaly forgot that they were playing until about 5:45 p.m. Maybe it's because my favorite player is hurt and I don't really know enough about any of the rest of the players.

We’re Having A Fall

I know, I know. I haven't gone to bed yet. 4 a.m. is going to suck ass.

I was noticing today what a beautiful fall we're having for once. Usually, around here, we have a couple of hard freezes, the leaves turn dull, yucky, dead colors and hit the ground all at once. Fall is usually so short it's hardly noticeable. It's warm one day, cold the next. This year, there are amazing colors all over the place. The leaves are falling a little here, a little there. It's been really neat. Today I was sitting at a traffic light at 104th and Sheridan looking off to the Northwest. A breeze had blown all the brown cloud away from in front of the mountains and they were so clear and beautiful. Longs Peak in the distance had snow on it. In front of that was all the beautiful fall foliage. It was a breathtaking sight. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me.
