Eight from the Eighties

Eight from the Eighties

1) What's in your room?
Way too much STUFF! Computers, books, nine pets, lots of craft stuff, wolf collection, teddy bear collection, Star Trek memorabilia, South Park stuff, and that doesn't include Marcus' things.

2) Do you have fame?
No, and I don't want any. Fame brings way more pressure than I'm willing to live with.

3) Are you on a road to nowhere?
Some days it feels like it. Maybe I'm on a long detour.

4) Ooh, are you a little runaway?
No, but there are days I wish I could be.

5) Have you ever felt the earth move, under your feet?
Can't say that I have.

6) I've been waiting, for a...
Winning lottery ticket. I still don't have one.

7) If you love somebody...
Tell them and, if they'll let you, show them. Often.

8) Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.
Do I have to? I'm really bad at it.

A Nice Dinner

Current mood: Full Bear full
Marcus took me to dinner tonight at Country Market, the restaurant at the Flying J truck stop in Aurora (32nd & Airport Blvd). We had the steak and shrimp dinner. It came with an all-you-can-eat salad bar and a loaded baked potato. Man, it was sooooooo good. I've been trying to get him to go there with me for such a long time. They advertise the restaurant specials on the gas pump placards and, since I gas up there about 3 times a week, I'm always being tempted. It turns out that he's been putting me off about going there because he ate there once for lunch when he worked at the auto auction and had a terrible experience. Dad told me they have a pretty good breakfast buffet. I'll have to try that someday, too, I guess.

More Work Mayhem

The handyman came today to fix the walk-in door. He showed up at the exact time that a 75 pie order needed to be made. He wasn't going to let the asst. in to get dough, so the manager had to get huffy with him. That was hilarious!

Ursa’s a Dork

My Alaskan Malamute dog, Ursa, has been waking us up the last few nights. It's pretty bad if she's waking Marcus up. He could sleep through a tornado, I think. She has taken to chewing on, of all things, the bedroom door's doorstop. I don't understand why, after almost four years of living here, she has decided that this is a chew toy. It's totally destroyed. I need to replace it so the door's finish isn't ruined, but if I get the same style, she'll just chew the new one up, as well. It's not like she doesn't have stuff to chew on. I get her bones regularly, she gets dog treats a couple of times a day, she eats dry dog food. *sigh*

Friday Five

Friday Five

1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having?
I had this a few nights ago: I was trying to get back into school at UNC (Northern Colorado) as I had one more semester to go, but I couldn't find a place to live and the bassoon professor wouldn't let me sign up to take lessons.

2. Do you have any recurring dreams?
I used to. There was one where cars were trying to go on a hot wheels type of loop and couldn't get enough speed to make the loop and were crashing below. Creepy.

3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had?
I honestly can't remember any, although I know I've had some. I must block them or something. I remember a few months ago waking up really scared and sweaty and I was afraid to go back to sleep. I told Marcus about the dream when he woke up, but now neither of us can remember what it was about.

4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not?
No on both counts. I don't really see the point.

5. Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it?
I don't remember ever having one of those.
