Netflix

I forgot to mention that I signed up for Netflix the other night. $19.95 per month for unlimited DVD rentals is not too shabby. I got my first three movies in the mail today. Neat, huh?

TV stuff

They actually put Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald to death on "Passions" today. Good, she totally got on my nerves. I thought Julian would show up in the nick of time to stop it. I'm glad I was wrong. I'm not too hip on the new Ethan yet.

I watched "Not Another Teen Movie" on Pay Per View last week. Chyler Leigh, the main character, looked like the girl that played Tuesday on "That 80's Show." While doing a search on the old internet to see if it was indeed the same person, I find that "That 80's Show" was cancelled. Damn Fox, anyway. I was really beginning to like that show. CBS has also appeared to have dropped "Baby Bob." One site says that it will return mid-season, but I'll believe it when I see it. Bob will be a whole year older by then and it probably won't be as funny. NBC dropped "Watching Ellie," another show I really enjoyed. But they can keep that stupid "Scrubs" show on the air practically every night of the week. I'm not happy about this. Oh, well, if I can't find anything decent on TV, I might actually get other stuff done.

Of course, the one good thing is that Dr. Phil (from Oprah) is getting his own show. I'm glad I have a PVR.

Missing Marcus

Current mood: sad bear lonely
Man, I really miss Marcus. It's weird being home alone. The dogs are really missing him, too. Every time Skippy goes outside, he stares at Marcus' truck. He can't figure out why it's there if Marcus isn't home.

Money

I really, really, really, really, really need to find a way to bring in some extra cash. Unfortunatley, with my work and school schedule, there's no way to take on another part-time job. I also don't have a bunch of stuff to sell on eBay. Any ideas?

(Oh, and selling myself is not an option.)

Moron Managers

I swear, just when you think you've seen it all, they do something even more stupid and unbelievable. The dork I ran into yesterday that was making my dough managed to crash the computers last night. In trying to restore from backups, he lost three days of data. He didn't print the daily summary on Saturday night, either, so there is no record of Saturday's sales. So, have they been doing the nightly backups wrong? Did he do the restore wrong? Did he use the wrong backup disk? Who knows? All this while the head manager is on vacation. He'll be thrilled when he gets back on Sunday ( and yes, I know how to read a calendar and know he's back on Sunday).

At the other store, the head manager came in just as I was finishing up. As I don't normally make dough on Mondays, he was surprised to see me. He shouldn't have been. Since he had to downstack the dough made yesterday, he should've been able to tell that the normal Sundy amount of dough hadn't been made.

I swear that nobody in management at either store has any amount of common sense.
