I love fonts! Much to Marcus' dismay (fonts are the bane of his existence—he thinks the world would do just fine with Helvetica, Arial, Courier, Times New Roman and maybe Garamond), fonts are what designers need to make the world a more interesting place. Unfortunately, fonts are expensive to buy. That's why I love it when I find legitimate sites where I can download free fonts and free dingbats. You have to be careful, though. Most of them anymore redirect you to places with malware and viruses.
I had a really cool website linked here that was once a paid post that I kept because I wanted to remember to go there to buy fonts, but since they care about Google page ranking, they asked me to remove the link. I guess when you care more about Google and less about actually selling things to customers, I will forget you exist. I'll find my fonts at sites that didn't try to game the system.

I'm in the middle of carving a pumpkin that Marcus bought for me yesterday. I hope it comes out like I envision. I'm trying one of those real people type carvings. If it comes out, you'll see pictures later today or tomorrow. If not, I'll be crying and pouting. (Just kidding, but I will be a tad bit upset.) I love grabbing pumpkin guts. That slimy coldness is kind of neat. Am I weird?

No, not World of Warcraft. I can't believe how long I slept last night. I went to bed last night a little before 2 am (1 am with the time change). I woke up a half hour ago, so I ended up sleeping 9½ hours. Straight through! (Well, except for the couple of times Marcus' alarm went off around 6:30) That hasn't happened in ages! I went to sleep almost as soon as I hit the pillow. Didn't have any waking periods where I couldn't go right back to sleep. No dog came panting at the side of the bed needing out. No having to get up in the middle of the night to pee or something. Isn't amazing as we get older that something like this is a cause for celebration? Yay, sleep!

I've never really been a big Trivial Pursuit fan. My mom loved that game, but it always made me feel stupid and it drug on
forever. We were watching an interview with Molly Ringwald a few minutes ago on one of those dumb entertainment shows (too lazy to turn the tv off) and I asked Marcus if he had seen the commercial for that Totally 80s Trivial Pursuit game. I might just be tempted to play that one. The 80s were my decade, after all. LOL Anyway, I found an
article on Wikipedia that listed all the actors that were in that commercial ('cause while I recognized most of them, there were a couple I just couldn't name). The commercial is in the extended if you haven't seen it.

Well, I was there all day with Marcus, but they didn't get finished with what needed to get done first so that I could help. Oh, well. That's OK. I surfed, I cross-stitched, I was out of the house for the first time for any extended period of time in weeks. Marcus sent me to Home Depot to get him some supplies and I managed to set the sensor alarms off. I think that is the first time I have ever done that in my entire life.

Whoops!
I ate entirely too much candy this afternoon. I was feeling a little sick about an hour ago. I should know better than to overindulge in sweets. Danged Tootsie Rolls!
I tried to watch the last episode of Ugly Betty on ABC.com, but it kept stalling out 10 minutes from the end. It's a good thing that it's on my PVR here at home. I'll go watch the last 10 minutes here in a bit.
Well, I do indeed have that Billy Joel song I referenced earlier. In fact, I have a 4-disc greatest hits set that I totally forgot I had. I'm in the process of ripping them to iTunes as we speak. Man, I really do need to get off my duff and finish ripping my CD collection. I have forgotten how many of his songs I really like. Cool that I don't have to use any of my remaining iTunes balance.
OK, off to get a cold iced tea and watch some tv.
