I'm not a fan of Vicodin (or Hydrocodone, the generic one I actually took). After two nights of taking this stuff, no more! I don't see how people become addicted to this because it didn't help my pain AT ALL! I wasn't imagining it the night before, it did make my pain worse. I was also not a big fan of the loopy feeling I got about five minutes after typing up last night's post. People actually like that feeling? I don't get it. Things seemed so far away and out of perspective. I was having trouble walking and the littlest things made me jumpy. Then I couldn't feel my arms, though the stabbing pains in my face were very real. Then as I tried to just lie there and hope something took effect, it suddenly felt like someone was standing on my foot. Weird. We also had a horrible thunderstorm and the sounds of it all were terribly amplified. I ended up getting out of bed and surfing for awhile until my face quit aching and I was actually tired. I thought this stuff was supposed to make you drowsy, too? Nope, not me. NyQuil seems to do a better job of knocking me out. All I know is, it was 2:30 am before I finally went to sleep and it's now 6:15 and I need to go to work, but I haven't slept much, I've got that yucky medicine induced dry mouth and groggy drugged feeling. So glad I had insurance to help cover the cost of those pills because I'd be raging mad if I'd paid full price for that waste of money.
