The Great Clean-Up

Marcus came back from Tennessee wanting a change. Since we can't afford to move away from this hell hole trailer park, he went for the next best thing--this last weekend he rearranged our house. Our computer room and living room flip-flopped. The reason we had not done this before was the huge sectional sofa we had would only fit in the living room. Our fireplace has gone pretty much unused because it's hard to enjoy it in the midst of all the computer stuff. We were trying to figure out how to get rid of the big couch and get something smaller, but after looking at the god-awful ugly sofas on the market right now, we decided to just save our money and make the other one work in the other room. It looks a little goofy, but people don't come here much and we decided we could live with it. It's a little more intimate and you can sit closer to the television now.

Now comes the hard part--getting all the small stuff put away. Fortunately, I got into a cleaning up my life mood a couple of weeks ago and I've been slowing going through things and throwing out the stuff I don't/won't use. When the time comes to finally move away from here, I don't want to move the crap AGAIN that I haven't used in the 13 years Marcus and I have been together. Since I've learned the hard way (thanks to fruitless eBay sales) that the stuff I own is worthless, I'm giving it to charity or throwing it out. The thing that sucks most is work keeps getting in the way of my industrious mood. Boooooooooo.

Speaking of work, I'd better get to bed. I kept staying up too late last week in some sick mind game that I was playing with myself. It was like I thought that if I put off going to sleep, I'd put off going to crappy pizza job. Logically I knew that not to be true, but I was doing it anyway. Stupid. I was tired and cranky and would bawl at the drop of a hat. So, on that note, G'Night.
