School Rocks

Man, I am so digging this school I'm going to. Not only do I have an instructor who has worked in the field for many, many years and is very good at what he does, but he is also a no-nonsense kind of guy. He sets deadlines and you either adhere to them or your grade tanks. The fact that he loves the work I'm doing doesn't hurt, either. That's another thing: he's not afraid to let you know when you're screwing up or when you're doing well. I really like that. The first couple fo weeks I was really scared of the guy, but I started talking to him more this week and he's really cool.

I found out the other day that the receptionist that I talk to everyday is actually the wife of the school's president. When they told me this school was family-run, they weren't kidding. Last Wednesday they held a BBQ for the faculty and students in the parking lot. The president was letting students throw water balls at him. It was so cool. I'm sure I would've had a better time if I had known some people. I've only been there 3 weeks and I haven't really had time to make any friends yet. I'm so surprised at the amount of men that go there. There is only one other girl in my class of 20 people. You'd think that women would be more into artsy stuff, but I guess not.

I just got the Sims' Hot Date for my iMac a couple of weeks ago. I've been so busy that I haven't had time to play with it except for a ew minutes after I installed it. It seems pretty cool. So, not only do I have to wait for the Mac release of Vacation, but now they're going to be releasing Unleashed in September for the PC. I'm so jealous. It ought to be ready for the Mac in a year or so. Boooooo! Oh, well. I won't have time to waste on playing the Sims until I'm done with school anyway. Right?
