Blogathon 2006 Recap

My poor 39 year old body isn't used to staying up for 37 hours straight!

I'm up and about. Feeling awfully fuzzy and a bit groggy still. My poor body is retaining fluid something awful. Like I said earlier, the coke and sunflower seeds were probably not a good idea. I woke up with the most dreadful headache. It, too, shall pass. Overall, though, I'm really glad I did this. I really do hope that all of this helps, even in the smallest way, make this crazy world of ours a better place.

I'm already thinking about how I'll do this differently next year. I almost can't wait...almost. I know I'm going to be in a better position financially and then I can pledge to more fellow 'thonners, especially some of those people at the bottom of the contribution list.

It was nice that this place finally saw a little bit of traffic. Can you guess which day Blogathon was? LOL

Hey, Dave W. came out of the woodwork and sponsored me! Yay, DAVE!!! Love ya!!!

I have more to say, but can't remember what....

Dearest Sponsors

Thank you so very, very much again for your sponsorship in this year's Blogathon! We raised a total of $148.50 for Lance Armstrong's LiveStrong Foundation. You guys are the best!

Not only that, the 285 bloggers that made it through the event had pledges totally a whopping $101,133.63. Very impressive, indeed.

Here's the heads up that I have every intention of doing this again next year! I hope you'll all support me again. I couldn't do it without great friends and family like you!

This is the End, My Friend

Well, we all made it! Blogathon 2006 is over on all fronts. Thanks again to everyone for helping me make my first Blogathon a success. My sponsors raised $135 to benefit Livestrong. I couldn't be more pleased. Don't forget, you can still Sponsor Me! for another 48 hours. Thanks for sticking through it all together, Team Shabbat! It was wonderful getting to know each of you.

Now, if you'll excuse me...I have a date with my pillow.

Death by Fart

So, the myth being tested is the danger of farting yourself to death in a small room. I don't know if it me being so tired or if this is really that funny. Adam was sitting in a bathrub trying to capture his own farts so they could test the percentages of different gases contained in theml No way in hell could I ever fart on demand!

I Can’t Take It

My room is hot, my back hurts, I've been sitting in my chair for too long. I've moved to the couch to watch an episode of Mythbusters with Marcus before we head off to bed. If you've never watched it, you should check it out. These two dudes and their associates try to scientifically bust myths. They like to shoot guns and blow stuff up. This show is about Franklin's kite and electricity and flatulance. Yay!! You gotta love the Discovery Channel!
