I opened the flour cannister while making my cheesecake only to find it infested with bugs. I dumped the container out, opened my spare bag of flour and it contained bugs, too. Damn it. I had to stop in the middle of making it to go to the store for more flour. After I got the thing in the oven, I googled flour bugs and guess what? Apparently most flour contains the eggs of these little critters. Ewwww. I guess in the past I've used my flour up quickly enough that the eggs didn't have time to hatch and become adults. So, I've got my new flour in the freezer per a recommendation I found to control the bugs. Neat, huh?
The PINKS marathon is on SPEED tomorrow, November 23, 2006. You can get all the details at www.speedtv.com. I'm really excited to check it out. Like I said before, I love drag racing. I still can't imagine putting all that time and effort into building a fast car just to give it away if you lose the race.
Here's my ride, a 2003 Subaru Baja. I have no plans of ever Drag Racing in this baby, though...I'd lose her for sure. (Forgive the choppy video — Marcus' camera only takes 15 second movies!)
Well, this holiday is not getting off to a good start for Marcus. The T1 went down at work and he's stuck there while the Qwest guy fixes it. Dang it!
On a happier note, isn't it great when you hear a song you like and find out you have it already? I was listening to KBCO a lot lately trying to get Barenaked Ladies tickets. They kept playing a Paul Simon song called "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" and I was really digging it. I checked my CD library today and hurrah!, I have it!
I love the site T-Shirt Hell. A lot of people are offended by what they offer, but they love to push the envelope and I get a little giggle out of it.
I totally cracked up at the Pooh inspired shirt they started offering this month (pictured below). See, "Bitch Betta Have My Money" by AMG is one of Marcus' favorite songs. He sings it all the time. Seeing it associated with a lovable little Pooh Bear was just too funny!
Well, we never got to the record-breaking temperature we were promised today, but it did get up to 68°F. I had planned on hosing the spider webs off of the siding this afternoon, but WalMart and some double-over in pain cramps put a crimp in that plan. I hate it how early the sun goes down now. Grrrr.
I'm looking forward to getting off work tomorrow afternoon. It's cheesecake baking time! Whoo Hoo! I love making cheesecake.
OK, I'm going to finish watching Veronica Mars and head off to bed. I have a date with a heating pad.
