Today was not the greatest of days. It started out great: I slept in, read a little in bed after I woke up (Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"), Marcus took me to McDonald's for breakfast, then WHAM! -- the day went to hell.
As we were pulling up to the house, Marcus noticed my tire was flat. I knew there was a nail in one of the bad front tires and there was no way the Discount Tire guys would patch it. Since I don't have any money, Marcus ended up shelling out money for the new tires. I hate owing him money. He did get me a new rim to put one of the old tires on so that I never have to drive on one of those shitty fake doughnut spares again.
Having to wait for tires to be put on made me late for work. I really needed to get to work early today because I was way behind on dough. I've been feeling really lethargic this week and haven't been keeping up. The manager also scheduled me to work early on Wednesday and that helped put me even more behind. I was really hoping to get ahead today. No such luck. They had to use dough tonight that I made this afternoon. The sad thing is, I really don't care.
I also think I'm allergic to the new hats we have to wear. All week I've been feeling bad when I'm working and my head has been itching like crazy. I was thinking that maybe I was having a reaction to the antibiotics I was on or something, but I've finished them. I also had a fiery hot rash and bumps where the hat touched my forehead tonight. I told the manager that the hat was making my head itch like mad and he informed me that another employee was having the same problem. I wonder what's causing it. The hat is supposedly 100% cotton, but who knows what else is on it (sizing, dye, thread, etc). He told me I can go back to wearing my old hat for now. Yay!
Well, I better get to bed so that I can get dough done somewhat early tomorrow. I want to finish painting my craft room so that I can finish unpacking. I'm tired of having stuff in boxes. I also want to get the workstation that Marcus and Dave got me for Christmas set up and put to use. G'night.
