Project 365 #22 - Reed Avocados

I was intrigued by these Reed Avocados that I saw at Whole Foods this morning. These things are HUGE! Since a normal organic avocado there is usually around $2.49, I figured it couldn't hurt to spend a little extra and try one. I thought it would be mostly pit, but was really surprised how much flesh is inside. Too bad they are only available between June & October, depending on supply. Wish I had picked up more than 1 now. Oh, well...hopefully I'll see them again before they're out of season.

Project 365 #21 - Mexican Salad

Whole Foods has these daily salad specials - today they were offering one that I had never seen there before - Mexican Salad. Had green chilies in it. Tasty!

Project 365 #20 - Boulder Organic Ice Cream

I've been wanting to try this, but as expensive as organic ice creams are, I only buy them when they are on sale. It was quite good.

Project 365 #15 - Big Time Pizza

One of the best things about Keystone, SD is Big Time Pizza. We always order the Big Tatanka (Buffalo meat, green peppers, onions & bacon). The place caught my eye because the owners have that Subaru Baja pictured there. smile

Project 365 #14 - Jim’s Organic Coffee

I picked up this bag of coffee at Natural Grocers (it's the only place close where I can get Wild Idea Buffalo) for our trip up here. It was pretty good - can't wait to brew another pot tomorrow morning. The thing I found clever is their packaging. Upon closer inspection, the type/name of the coffee is a sticker to make the coffee mug. Neat that they don't have to have separate bags printed for each type of coffee they offer.
