Sorry about the glare in that picture I posted this morning. While at Atlanta Bread Co., I had my first ever bowl of French Onion Soup and I really liked it. I want to make it from scratch, so does anybody reading this have a good recipe for it? I'm dying to make my own.

OK, here's a shoutout for help to anybody reading this blog:
I need a really good Marcaroni and Cheese recipe.
I want something that's totally homemade, but nothing funky in it like jalapenos or anything. I want tips you have to make it come out right (mine never comes out creamy — it's always grainy). It has to be really cheesy.
Macaroni and cheese (when made right) is my most favorite food in the entire world. Please pass along any recipes or tips you use either in the comments or via email.
THANKS!!!!!!

I opened the flour cannister while making my cheesecake only to find it infested with bugs. I dumped the container out, opened my spare bag of flour and it contained bugs, too. Damn it. I had to stop in the middle of making it to go to the store for more flour. After I got the thing in the oven, I googled flour bugs and guess what? Apparently most flour contains the eggs of these little critters. Ewwww. I guess in the past I've used my flour up quickly enough that the eggs didn't have time to hatch and become adults. So, I've got my new flour in the freezer per a recommendation I found to control the bugs. Neat, huh?

I've been meaning to do this forever. As soon as a little extra cash is around, I'm going to start growing my own sprouts. I love bean and alfalfa sprouts. I hear broccoli sprouts are pretty good for you, too. You never really know how long the ones in King Soopers have been hanging around and nothing tastes yuckier than an old bean sprout. I found a site called
SproutPeople where I can get sprouters and seeds online.

Except for eggnog, all the supplies for next week's feast have been laid in. As usual, the only sucky part was having to go to Kmart to get the Kellogg's stuffing. Why is that forsaken place the only place that carries that? Grrrr. I'm going to make the Orange Cranberry stuff for sure. This will be the first Thanksgiving that we don't have cranberries from a can. Man, the cost for the feast was more than last year. I wonder if fuel costs have contributed to that? I will it was next week. I love cooking!
