White and Nerdy

Weird Al is releasing his new album, Straight Outta Lynwood, on September 26. He released his new video through YouTube. The video is in the extended. It's for a song called "White and Nerdy." That song is totally hilarious! It's a parody "Ridin' " by Chamillionaire. Check it out.

NBC Sucks

It was just as I feared.

I read somewhere that Medium was going to be on Sunday nights now. Stupid NBC has Football Night in America on until the end of football season in early January. Well, NBC's Medium page does indeed now say "Returning to Sundays After Football." LAME! How can it return to Sunday when it wasn't there in the first place? You guys suck much monkey ass! Do we really need Deal or No Deal on every damn night? Hell, no! Can you tell that I am pissed about this? GRRRRRR!

Bad Timing

Aaaaaaah! The Barenaked Ladies are coming to town on November 21st and tickets go on sale on Saturday and Marcus promised to go with me the next time they came but we don't have that kind of money right now and they'll probably sell out before we do. I hope KBCO is giving away some tickets to this one.

Yip Yip Yip Yip

Marcus and I were watching CSI: Miami tonight and in response to something he said, I went, "Yip, Yip, Yip, Yip." It sounded darned familiar and then it dawned on me: It was those silly aliens from Sesame Street. Isn't amazing how these things stick in your memory?

Speaking of television, I watched the premiere of The Class. Man, that show was dumb and I'll never waste precious time on that thing again. I didn't know the premise of the show before I watched. A guy wants to surprise his girlfriend on the 20th anniversary of their meeting (first day of 3rd grade) by having a party reuniting people from that class, even though none of them have ever kept in touch. LAME! Yeah, don't see this series running long term. I also can't believe The New Adventures of Old Christine is back. I recorded The Megan Mullaley show this afternoon. Not going to watch that again, either. Not entertaining at all. When in the hell does Medium come back?

Martini 101.5 FM

Back on March 22 of this year, Denver had a new radio station come in existance, KTNI 101.5 FM. They call themselves "Martini on the Rockies". I generally like the mix of music they're trying to make. They play Brian Setzer Orchestra, Harry Connick, Jr., Frank Sinatra, Norah Jones, etc. Their playlist is not huge; in fact, I have to switch away sometimes because I get a little sick of hearing the same stuff over and over. But hey, that's true of just about every station in the radio market these days. I'm not sure where they broadcast from (the commercial on air says Stasburg?), but the signal can get weak in various parts of Denver. Anywho, they play this one song that I really like called "The Dog Song" by Nellie McKay (lyrics in the extended). I was lamenting that I hadn't won a Blingo iTunes gift certificate in quite awhile and was sad that I couldn't download that song. Well, in today's mail came an iTunes gift card for my birthday from my friend Chrissy! Thanks, woman! So, I got it. Yay!!
