I was driving home from school last night and saw that gas had jumped to $1.97 a gallon! They were warning on the news that prices were going up, but it was still really bizarre seeing that as a price for the cheap gas.
Just another reason I need to start working from home for a 2nd source of income rather than driving to the North side of town 6–7 days a week. At least if I have to drive to meet a client, I can factor in gas to meet them as a business exprense.

I just heard on
9news that New Jersey's
SPCA pressured Kraft Foods to
stop producing a line of gummi candies called
Road Kill. The candies are in the shapes of snakes, chickens and squirrels with a tire track down the middle. I personally think that the candies are a great idea. Geez people, get a sense of humor, already. One article I read said something about sending the wrong message to kids about how to treat animals.
They're not really animals!!! It's candy!

Well, I now know why I didn’t get hired at that scrapbook store I
applied at before Christmas. I got a “Going Out of Business Sale” postcard in the mail a couple of days ago. I should feel sad about that like I am about
All My Memories closing two of its three stores in the Denver area this month, but I’m not. I swore that if I wasn’t hired, I’d never shop there again. I didn’t think it would be under these circumstances. Oh, well. I guess either scrapbooking is not as big a fad as it once was, or these stores can’t compete with the likes of
Archiver’s.

Current mood:

Former “Tonight Show” host Johnny Carson
died on Sunday (Jan. 23). He was 79 and had suffered from emphysema. I remember when I was little that I thought my dad and Johnny Carson were brothers. They looked alot alike and my dad is funny, too. My favorite segments were when he was “Carnac the Magnificent” and any of the ones where there were animals. I never watched the show much after he left. I prefer Letterman to Leno.

I read an article yesterday about
Jay Greenberg, a young man studying music at Julliard who a music prodigy being compared to the likes of Mozart. I would love to hear some of his compositions.
