My friend Traci took me to a biker bar in Dacono, CO called Jerry D's last night. She loves places like that. I had so much fun. I love getting together with her. I don't do it near enough. The bar has their menus printed on barf bags. Nice touch. I had a huge beef/bean burrito. Tasty. They also have a real old jukebox. I hadn't had a beer since Christmas Eve. The four I had put a nice buzz on me. We were going to minigolf, but we lost track of time. Not a bad evening. I finally got to see where she lives. She's lived there over 4 years and I've never been to her house. The sad thing is, she only lives a few miles away from where I work. She showed me her kart that she races. No way would I ever get in one of those contraptions. I also got to see the one that her friend Andy got really messed up in. Totally mangled wreck. Scary.
I went to work right after, as I couldn't see the point of driving all the way home, getting a few hours sleep, and wasting the gas money driving all the way back. I couldn't get started until they got the store closed up, so I talked to a guy named Matt to catch up on all the Fed. Heights store gossip. Man, I don't miss working with all those people at all. It's amazing that nothing has really changed in the 8 months since I had talked to any of them.
Well, classes on Monday again, and I don't really want to go. The whole experience will be an excercise in futility. I know I'm not going to gain a great amount of education in just four more weeks. Sad things is, I was so full of excitement and yearning just a little over a year ago. Now I know I need to find my fulfillment somewhere else and finishing this crap I started is just a necessary evil. Oh, well.
I guess I'm off to help Marcus pull some weeds.

Compliments of my friend Traci:
One day, three men were hiking and unexpectedly came upon a large raging, violent river. They needed to get to the other side, but had no idea of how to do so.
The first man prayed to God, saying, "Please God, give me the strength to cross this river." Poof! God gave him big arms and strong legs, and he was able to swim across the river in about two hours, after almost drowning a couple of times.
Seeing this, the second man prayed to God, saying "Please God, give me the strength ..and the tools to cross this river." Poof! God gave him a rowboat and he was able to row across the river in about an hour, after almost capsizing the boat a couple of times.
The third man had seen how this worked out for the other two, so he also prayed to God saying, "Please God, give me the strength and the tools...and the intelligence... to cross this river." And poof!
God turned him into a woman. She looked at the map, hiked up stream a couple of hundred yards, then walked across the bridge.

Want to know what I hate more than having people wandering through our house? People who are supposed to wander through that never show up. Marcus and I got the house ready and I disappeared for an hour for nothing. No call/no show. How rude. People can be so damn inconsiderate. If you don't want to look at the house, something came up, whatever, have the common courtesy to call the real estate agent and cancel. Don't waste the time of everyone involved.

My friend Traci (an old UNC college drinking buddy) called me. I haven't seen her since.........I can't remember when, actually. I know the last time we talked she was hanging Christmas lights. Dang, time flies when you're having ???FUN???? Anyway, we're getting together for dinner and mini-golf on Friday. I can't wait. Man, I've got to get her up in the My Friends section of the About Me page. I have so much I want to do with my actual web site and no time. AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Someone wants to look at the house again tomorrow. Figures, I'm in the middle of trying to clean carpets. Well, they'll be OK unless they sit on the floor or take their shoes off. I guess they live here in Byers somewhere. Marcus gets nervous when people from around here look. He doesn't like it when people come in and see what kind of things we own and then can tell when we're not here. Unnerving. I'll be glad (IF/WHEN) this place sells and then have one less stress to deal with.
I was looking at big screen TV's at Soundtrack today. Man HDTV is so cool. The thin plasma monitors ($13,000+) were pretty neat, also. Oh, to win the $200 mil powerball jackpot (eyes staring off dreamily.....)
I've noticed the flies are thicker than ususal this year. No matter where I am, work, school, home, McDonald's, in my car, there are flies dive-bombing my head. It's truly annoying. At least they're not mosquitos.
Oooh, a Manwich commercial on television. The "what to fix for dinner dilemma" is solved!
Well, back to the carpets.

Well, they're supposed to be offering two classes next module that I really want to take--Unix 3 and Win2k Server. I don't know if there will be instructors yet or if I will learn anything. We'll see. The new module starts on Monday. I went in to see the president of the school today. I was in her office two weeks ago venting my frustration and concerns about their stupid school. She told me to give her a few days to come up with some sort of plan to address everything and lent me a book to read called "
Who Moved My Cheese?." Well, it was a good story. Really made me think, however, she didn't come up with squat. I don't even thinks she remembers that she was supposed to come up with anything. She remembers giving me the book, but that was about it. Man, I can't wait to get out of there. I asked her if it was mandatory that you put in the clock hours that they claim you need if you're on financial aid. I've missed so many hours these last couple of months. If they're not offering Cisco in October, I don't want to be there past the end of the next module. She didn't even know what I was talking about and would have to check in to it. Oh, boy, can't wait to see what kind of response I get to that.
