I just received my ThinkGeek newsletter. I totally forgot that they have a monthly
Techie Haiku Contest where you can win a $50 ThinkGeek gift certificate.
I want ThinkGeek stuff
Must think of a cool haiku
My brain is so fried
heh.
Anyway, if I won, I'd get myself a myself a
Cubes IT department playset. It would be like having my very own Marcus action figure! Of course, I'd have to fashion an Apple hat for him.

I stopped in at Meiningers over at 5th and Broadway today to see if the carry a certain kind of pen that someone suggested I get. They don't, but I did see something I'd love to have: a Vincent Van Gogh action figure. It's the first produced by
Fine Arts Action Figures™ and it was selling there for $24.99 + tax. I can get it on the site for $19.99 +$5 shipping. That would save me a bit. It's more of a realistic rendition. While surfing ebay to see if any one on there had one, I found another, more comical one. This
Van Gogh figurine has two interchangeable heads (one has a bandage around his head depicting the ear whacking incident). What is wrong with me that I giggled at that one?

I think it's a shame about the attitude a lot of women have these days about men. If you treat a man right and let him be a man, chances are he'll pay you more attention.
I'm amazed at the number of woman who absolutely refuse to wear
sexy lingerie when they know their partner would truly enjoy it. Heck, back in my college days, I used to feel better about myself and quite sexy having something black and lacy on underneath my clothes.
The only bad part was having to browse through the store trying to find that perfect garment. I'm so grateful we have the Internet now so we can purchase things like
baby dolls from the comfort of home. I was browsing through a site called Dimout.com and I was impressed by the wide array and selection of products they carry. They've got clothing, accessories, toys, gag gifts and a whole lot more. Since they sell plus sizes, I might have to get myself something pretty.
I wonder if my guy would wear these
camouflage boxers?

I decided today that I've got to find someplace I can go swimming relatively inexpensively. There is no way I'm setting foot in that lousy excuse of a pool we have at our park here. I've been checking around and even open swimming at the nearby rec center is pricey.
I used to swim a couple of days a week at least while I was in college. It was free to swim at the campus pools with my student ID. I used to get to swim with Broncos players that were doing physical therapy in the pool during their training camp. Even though I have always been overweight, I was in pretty decent shape then. I haven't been able to swim since Marcus and I went to Missouri a while back.
I need to invest in a new suit, though. My suit is in horrible shape. I think I've had that suit since before I met Marcus. I really hate looking for large
women swimwear, though. The selection is miniscule at most stores around here, even at plus size stores. Hopefully I'll be able to find a decent suit using my old friend Internet. I'm really liking
this suit over at Swimsuits For All. I've always been partial to suits with a cross strap back.

Even before I went to work at that screen printer a couple of years ago, I've always dreamed of having a business selling printed shirts. I'd prefer to do embroidered ones, but I'm open to carrying silk screened ones, as well. I found a site called
CheapesTees.com that I could use as a source for those garments. They carry all the industry name brands that I became familiar with when I worked at the screenprint shop: Gildan, Hanes, Anvil, Fruit of the Loom, Jerzees and many more! They also carry different types of blanks besides regular T-shirts such as polos, pocket T-shirts, sweats, fleece, tank tops, long-sleeved T-shirts, dress shirts and hats.
The company, in addition to selling blanks, offers screen printing and embroidery services. The have a a special flat $5 fee for embroidering logos on polos (up to 8,000 stitches/min. 48 garments). Not too shabby!
At the prices they offer, it would be practical to supplement my own wardrobe through them, too. I loved painting my own shirts and would love to start doing that again. You can get a T-shirt for as low as $1.68, polos for $6.84 and free ground shipping on orders over $69. They even offer bulk discounts. You can't find prices like that locally. I think I'm going to get some
Hanes Tagless Tees. I love those and at $2. 58 for white or $3.68 for colors, you can't beat the price!
