Gilmore Girls Rant

I have tried to keep an open mind about this season of Gilmore Girls, but after tonight's episode, I am officially pissed! I know they need drama and angst, but I am truly disappointed in what the writers have done with this show. I'll watch to the end, but I am not thrilled. In fact, I almost can't wait for it to be over and done with. I'd rant about what my problems with the plot are, but I don't feel like doing the whole spoiler alert thing right now.

On a happier note, Medium is back on with a two hour premiere tomorrow night. Yay!

Job Is Going Well

I've put in two days of work at the new job. I hope I get to be full time soon! The sooner that happens, the quicker I'll get through 90 days until FULL BENEFITS, paid holidays and all of that other good stuff that comes with working for a decent company! I was a little down this morning. One, because there was nothing to post about from PPP. I really enjoy checking out the sites in the opportunities and then giving my humble opinion. I also really need cash coming in. Two, because of that email I got yesterday about the job. I had really wanted to work there and if I had been hired four months ago when I interviewed, I wouldn't have had this whole unemployment mess. *sigh* Oh, well. I guess I needed the depth to which I sank to teach me some valuable lessons. Finally, three, I need to get more sleep. I can't let myself stay up until midnight hanging out in the PPP forums.

On a totally different note, I'm sure everyone has seen the Pepto Bismol commercial with all the office employees dancing to the song that goes, "Naseau, Heartburn, Indigestion, Upset Stomach, Diahrrea." Well, there's a new one for Pepto MAX that has Paul Bunyon, Godzilla, a Space guy, etc. dancing. Really freaky. I had to stop fast-forwarding and go back to make sure I seen what I had thought I had seen.

PINKS Marathon

Dad and I love going to the drag races at Bandimere Speedway up in Morrison, Colorado. I always get a seat as close to the starting line as possible to can get the full force of the heat, smoke and tire particles. It's crazy the amount of time and money those guys spend just to have the fastest car! Now imagine that you lose a race and you lose your car. That's the premise behind the most-watched weekly series on SPEED television, PINKS.

SPEEDtv is airing an all day marathon of PINKS followed by premiere of PINKS All Out on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 23rd. You can also go to SPEEDtv's site and check out the Drag Racing Clips and photos posted there.

SPEEDtv Muscle Car Marathon

No Muscles Here

Nope, no muscles here. There might have been if Marcus would've let me write on his arm, but you're stuck with mine. There will be plenty of muscle the day after Thanksgiving, though — Muscle Cars, that is! SPEEDtv is airing their Muscle Car Marathon on Friday, November 24th at 9am EST. I've always wanted a 1970 Yellow Mach 1 Mustang. They sure don't make cool cars like that anymore! Check it out. It's going to be more fun than fighting the malls on Black Friday!

I Hate Repeats

The Office is a repeat tonight...already? What the hell? I really hate the way network television works anymore. It used to be every show premiered the same week, had a half season run, did repeats around the holidays, came back in January with new shows or those that tanked were replaced. During those repeat times, you could watch shows on other networks that you missed. Now? Who knows? They start the season whenever they feel like it, none of the networks are the same. Even a single network doesn't have all of its shows on the same schedule. One show during an evening might be new and the one right after a repeat. It's dang frustrating, I tell you.

I watched all of the Ugly Betty episodes on ABC's website today. Several people around the net have raved about it, so I checked it out. It wasn't bad. Not something I would care much if I missed, but not bad. I caught up with Jericho finally. I still get the willies every time they talk about Denver having been hit or Denver's not there anymore. *shudder*

I really need to whittle down my sidebar. I'm sick of how long it is. I may just make myself a links page or something and take all of that extra crap out of there. Hmmm. Gonna have to think on that one.

OK, I guess I'd better go. My darned mouse is dying and I need to charge it.
