iSight Solution

Since Marcus moved our computers around, the iSight's cable will no longer reach from the case to the monitor. I've never liked the way the darned thing sits on my monitor and it's always falling down. I don't want to tape the stand to the monitor because I don't like the angle it's at, anyway. While searching for a longer firewire cable (it has to be one of those thin Apple ones) or some kind of extender, I found SightFlex. This is perfect! Now I just need to find somebody with one in stock. The site I linked to is out indefinitely. If I can find one, maybe I'll actually be on my iSight more often. Too cool! I wish I could come up with some neat device like that.

Tiger Premiere

I went to the Apple OS X Tiger Premier and all I got was this lousy scratch ticket!

Just kidding...I've got no problem winning a free iTunes song. I purchased Woo Hoo by the 5678s. It would've been better if I had been one of the iPod or Powerbook winners. *sigh* I was hoping for something tangible like a t-shirt or even the dog tags we got at the Panther premiere. Oh, well.

Adobe Acquires Macromedia

I just read that Adobe (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.) purchased Macromedia (Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, etc.) for $3.4 Billion.
By combining our development, authoring and collaboration software - along with the complementary functionality of Adobe PDF documents and Macromedia Flash - Adobe has the opportunity to bring this vision to life with an industry-defining technology platform.

Wow.

Smart and Sassy

Smart and Sassy buttonI'm just sitting here doing a little blog surfing and while at Bitchypoo I folowed a link Robyn had in her sidebar to Smart & Sassy. I've wondered what that was for a while, but never bothered to click. Anyway, it's a site where she and two other women have an online advice column. I'm amazed by some of the problems that people write to them with. Of course, I'm sometimes amazed by the people that call Dr. Laura, too.

BTW, I've added a field to put the music I'm currently listening to or the television show I'm watching. Like the little iPod graphic I made?

Google Maps

You gotta love those wacky programmers over at Google. They now have a Map Service that is way better than MapQuest or Yahoo! Maps. If you click on Local Search and put something like "scrapbook" in the "What" box and "Denver, CO" in the "Where" box, it flags all related results for you on a large map. If you click on one of the result balloons, a pop-up with the Name, Phone, Address, Website (if applicable), and links for directions are right there. The navigation of the maps is a whole lot quicker than the other map sites, as well. This thing is totally awesome. Go check it out.
