In case you've been wondering why I haven't been posting as much the last few days, I'm in the process of finally setting up my craft blog that I've been wanting to do forever. Marcus even set me up a subdomain last December and that's as far as I got with it. I really want a place where I can chronicle my craftiness and hopefully inspire me to actually finish some of my many projects.
I'm using WordPress as the CMS so that I can become more familiar with how it works, so I've had a lot of work to do. It's using a theme that's not my own, but downloaded from the Wordpress themes site. I hate using canned themes, but I really just want to get this thing going. There's so much to learn because I've never seriously blogged using WP and only have a basic understanding of it. I can't wait to learn about all the different plugins and figure out this widget stuff.
So, help me out, dear readers! If you use Wordpress, what plugins/widgets must I absolutely have?
I'll post the URL later today when I've got it ready to go.

Blogosphere, meet Chip. Chip, meet the Blogosphere. (Get it? Chip. Chip off the block. Wood chip. LOL! I crack myself up.)
OK, he's not really a family member, but he is a new addition to the household. I've always wanted one of these wooden drawing mannequins (we used to use them at school), so yesterday I splurged the $10 bucks and got him. Besides being a great decorative accent for my craft room (yes, it is still clean!), he's useful, as well. I want to get back into illustrating and drawing.
Guys, quit reading now if girl stuff grosses you out. Just skip to the next paragraph. Do any of my women readers get constipated for the first couple of days of your period? No matter what I do, I always get it. I'm not sure if is from the same hormone that causes the cramps or what, but it is majorly annoying. I'm having a particularly bad one this week, to boot. I was in so much pain yesterday that I thought I was going to pass out. I'm also retaining a LOT of fluid. Ick. Not cool.
Man, I haven't done a Thursday Thirteen in three weeks. I've got subjects, I just can't seem to get the motivation to post.
I had a whole bunch of stuff I wanted to say and now I'm drawing a complete blank. *sigh* I guess it'll have to wait until another time.

When we were out for our weekly Saturday evening dinner date, my friend Nina told me about a great t-shirt that I would probably like to have over at
Jinx. She mentioned it was about knitting and the Jolly Roger. I was picturing the "knit or die" shirt they had on Gilmore Girls, but
this one is way more cool!

I was surfing around this evening and found a site I had seen a long time ago that I had meant to blog about and had totally forgotten about:
Money Origami. There's really cool little gift box you can make as well as step-by-step instructions to make this little money shirt. I'll have to find a dollar bill and try that. I haven't had a lot of paper money around since I quit delivering pizzas and no longer have that tip income coming in. I wonder if you can find any stock photography of money. I've heard you can't scan or manipulate money in photoshop, though I haven't actually tried. Once again, hard to do when there is no cash about!

I stopped in at Meiningers over at 5th and Broadway today to see if the carry a certain kind of pen that someone suggested I get. They don't, but I did see something I'd love to have: a Vincent Van Gogh action figure. It's the first produced by
Fine Arts Action Figures™ and it was selling there for $24.99 + tax. I can get it on the site for $19.99 +$5 shipping. That would save me a bit. It's more of a realistic rendition. While surfing ebay to see if any one on there had one, I found another, more comical one. This
Van Gogh figurine has two interchangeable heads (one has a bandage around his head depicting the ear whacking incident). What is wrong with me that I giggled at that one?
