My mood icons are broken!
Update: OK, all fixed. That's what I get for changing the default field formatting awhile back and not checking to see what it did. I guess the way I have my mood icons coded didn't like that!

Man, I just do not feel like doing any work today...so I won't. It's kind of a shame that I had to drive 50 miles just to surf the Internet and iChat with Marcus, though. Really could've done this from home, y'know? I'm taking tomorrow off as my day to make up for overtime put in before deadline. Since we have Memorial Day off, it'll be a nice 4-day mini vacation.
I'm supposed to be working on the Filemaker database for this place, but I'm not in the mood. It's too nice of a day out.
I am catching up on my blog reading and found this comic over at
Freakgirl:
It's totally summing up how I'm feeling about my creativity lately. I can't even motivate myself to do the Artist's Way right now. I'm being so self-destructive and I'm wallowing in self-pity and it's not cool.
I'm actually enjoying that
Gaping Void site, though. He's got lots of good advice. I'll have to add that to my linklist.

So, I was just watching the television for the weather and traffic reports before I head off to work and there is an accident at I-225 and Yosemite. Great. As if that stretch isn't bad enough on a good day.

I heard it was going to be nice this weekend. HA! It's been kind of chilly and windy. I really needed to change my oil today. I guess I'll have to do it in stages because the freaking rain keeps starting and stopping. And the wind keeps blowing my oil pan around. ARGH!
Going to get oil today was a major chore. I went to the WalMart out on I-70 & Tower because it is cheaper to get the parts at WalMart than anyplace else. I absolutely can't stand shopping at the one on Expositon/Abilene. Well, of all things I can't seem to memorize is the numbers for my oil and air filters. I always have to look them up. I keep meaning to write the numbers down and keep them in my wallet, I just never manage to remember to do that. Well, even though the store is relatively new, somebody managed to smash the little machine that you look filters up on. Do they have any paper copies of those books hanging on the shelves so you can do it manually? NO! I also couldn't seem to find an associate to help me out. Losers. I decided I wasn't waiting in any line just to buy the oil, so I left and went to the one out on Smoky Hill & Gun Club Rd. Their machine worked, but they were out of my oil filter! Grrrrrrrrrrrr. I ended up having to buy a higher priced one because I wasn't stopping anywhere else. So, I get home and have to let my car cool off a bit before I start the oil change. Here come the clouds, wind and rain. YeeeHawww. I got all of the tools assembled and the stupid cover taken off the bottom so I could get to my oil filter just as the downpour started. After that quit, I went out and got the oil plug and oil filter off and was letting it drain and the rain started again. So, it looks like the rain has quit again. I hope it holds out enough that I can finish up.
On another note, I watched The Wedding Crashers last night. I really like Owen Wilson, so I gave it a chance. It was a stupid movie.

I need a couple of things and was wondering if anybody that reads this thing would know where I could find them.
- I need a couple of 1½" comb binders. Just two. That's all. I know those only cost $5.43, but then shipping is another $7. They don't sell small lots of this size at Office Depot or Office Max. I've got a couple of books that the glue in the bindings has deteriorated and the pages fell out. I've already punched the pages with the machine at work, I just need something to keep them together.
- I need some scrap wood, preferably of the deck-building kind. My old dog keeps falling off of our front steps. He's going to die from a broken neck, not old age. We need to enlarge the landing and make a ramp. You know our money situation--we can't afford to buy wood. Especially to fix steps at this crappy mobile home park.
Since I don't have Radar from M*A*S*H* to run this stuff down for me, I was hoping somebody who reads this might know. Thanks!
