Domestic Geek

After reading Joelle lamenting about needing to see a dentist havng no dental insurance and many of her fine commenters recommending she look into Delta Dental, I did as well (we all know what fine shape my teeth are in). Even if I do manage to get health benefits from this company, there is no dental offered here at all. Well, I'm confused. I can't find anywhere on that site where one can actually get a dental plan. There is a reduced fee plan, but it's not insurance. Do I need to find an insurance agent or something? Maybe somebody more together than I have been lately can figure it out and let me know.

Edit: Nevermind. I went to the main Delta Dental (not Colorado's) site and individual insurance is not offered in my state. Booooooooo. I'm moving. I still need to find me some dental somewhere.

Marcus sold my old Green Subaru today. He put it on Craig's List last night and people were jumping all over it. I bawled while I took the license plates off this morning. I told Marcus that I felt like I was abandoning an old friend. That car and I spent more time together in the last few years than Marcus and I had. *sigh* Oh, well. I hope the new owner can make it run and get many more years out of it. I feel better about this than just taking it to the crusher. That was the next plan if nobody would buy it. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my new Baja to pieces. I still feel sad.

I guess I should go home for the day. I haven't done squat here. I did find a really cool font that I MUST BUY! If I'm going to get into the t-shirt biz apart from working here, this Ballpark Script font will be invaluable. It even comes with the swashes that go underneath.

OK, not going to do this in the near future, but I'd better post a link to remind myself. I saw a show on HGTV once that put a beta fish in a vase with a plant. How cool. Once Marcus and I get around to either moving to a house or putting our house on some land, I'd like to do that. Still nothing to do here at the old 2nd job. I had one task to do this morning that I drug out as long as possible, but as of 11 am--nada. So, I went to lunch early and have been surfing the Internet ever since. As soon as the art director gets back from lunch (he and the owner have been gone since 11:30), I might ask if I can go home. I feel guilty for getting paid to surf the web. Especially since I know this company can't really afford it. I'd rather be home throwing stuff out.

Happy July everyone! At noon today the year is half over. Wow, hard to believe the year is half over already.

I actually slept for 11 hours last night. I didn't have to go to the pizza job since we're going to be closed on Monday for Independence Day. My neck has been all jacked up lately (almost as bad as after the accident a year ago) and sleeping on it that long killed it. I'm awake but in sooooo much pain. I took 3 ibuprofins about an hour ago and it hasn't done squat. Joy.

We have a 2nd Dish Network receive that we hardly ever used because the television was hard to see and the remote was bad. When Marcus rearranged the house, the television is actually in a place that is convenient to use, so I got a new remote on eBay. I can't get it to work. *sigh*

Well, that's about all I've got time for right now. Gotta get off to work. Hopefully traffic will be light for once.
