It's coming up on that time of year, so if anybody is wondering what to get me for Christmas, this is what I want:
anything on my Amazon wishlist in the sidebar -->
Michaels or Hobby Lobby gift cards
I plan on taking an oil painting class in the new year. The next one starts January 14, 2006. It's part of the nurture my inner child/artist plan. I have been wanting to take the oil painting class offered by
Aurora Parks and Rec for over two years and I always talk myself out of it because, in addition to the $59 the class costs, the supplies are another $100. So, that's what I want for Christmas.

Today is my father's 70th birthday. How did I get old enough to have a dad that's turned 70? LOL Just kidding, Dad. Anyway, we're going to have a little BBQ to celebrate later today and watch The Incredibles (since Dad hasn't seen it and I think he'll really like it).

Well, even though I wasn't looking forward to it and didn't even really want to celebrate it, this year's birthday turned out ok. Last night we had dinner at Mike & Nina's house where she served Chicken Cordon Bleu (Nina is the Chicken Cordon Bleu Queen!) and a
Coffe House Crunch™ cake from Cold Stone. The cake gave me a super sugar buzz. They gave me a cool
Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse that I wanted from my wishlist. I'm using it now. This thing is su-weet! Today Marcus took me to Bicycle Village to get me a bike. I picked out a Trek 820. It's yellow/black/white and kind of matches the ol' Baja. I really wanted the blue/silver/black one, but they didn't have one in my size. Oh, well...so be it. I just need something that I can get some excercise on and ride a little with Marcus. We just got home from dinner out with Dad. We went to Sam Taylor's BBQ (Marcus had never been there) and as ususal, the food was excellent! As soon as Marcus is done working on someone's computer, we'll retire to the couch to watch some Monk on DVD before I have to go to bed. All in all, not a bad way to spend my 39th birthday. So, though I have stories of woe I want to write about, I'll keep them until another day.

So, my birthday is coming up on September 11th (yes, it
sucks to be born on that day). To all my many, many friends who are wondering what to get me this year, my
Amazon wishlist is up to date. Yes, there are a bunch of books on there and yes, I want them. Especially those pertaining to Photoshop or CSS. I'm a designer, dammit. I need to hone my skills. I'm a practical gal and I want practical gifts. If nothing on there strikes your fancy, contact Marcus. Maybe you can go in on his gift to me (when I decide what that is). If you need yet another option: computer store gift certificates.

Happy Birthday,
Dave! Hope you had a good day and didn't work too hard. (See, I didn't forget!)
I'd tell y'all to go wish him a Happy Birthday, but Marcus has never taught him how to access his blog. Maybe you could all just leave him a comment here instead. I know he lurks here.
