I got two ribbons at the Platt Art Show tonight!!! My
Dalmation Stamps took first place in the Illustrator stamps category. A Kellogg's Special K box I drew took an Honorable Mention in some kind of drawing catagory (packaging, maybe?). Too cool!!!! I'll post pics tomorrow in my
gallery.

OK, another final done and another class checked off the list.
Today started off great again. Apparently the video card in my G4 is toast. Of course, I didn't turn the thing on yesterday at all when Marcus had time to help me fix it. I discover it this morning when I go to add things to my notes (that I was allowed to use on the test this morning). Figures that my Mac is the only one in the house with Microsoft Office installed on it (since we use it at school). I can't open them up on the pc because they're stored on my iPod (no firewire port on the pc box). Marcus let me "steal" the video card out of the G3 we have until I can come up with some cash to buy a new card. This soooo sucks. When I finally got video, the computer kept hanging at one spot while it was booting. I've been neglecting the poor thing. It needs some serious attention. I just ran first aid on it and that seemed to help alot. I also moved my ram sticks around. We'll see.
What is up with today? I know they said there were some weird sun spots or something happening that could affect electronic stuff. I just lost my wireless keyboard. The wireless mouse still works, I changed the batteries, but the keyboard still doesn't work. This is too weird. I'm going to work now and staying off computers the rest of the day.

So,
Matrix Revolutions will be released in less than two weeks. I can't wait. I put a countdown over in the sidebar. I've been interested in the Matrix ARG that's been going on. I found out about it on the
Matrix Essays site. It's pretty cool. One of the forums I've really been watching pertaining to this game can be found
here. The people who come up with this are either waaaay gifted or have waaaay too much time on their hands (or both). I don't have time to try to solve any of the game, but it sure is interesting reading about what others have come up with.
Well, I'm off to bed. I have that final exam and the art show tomorrow. G'night.

My house is overrun with wasps. Marcus killed one when he got home from work that was up in our skylight. Now there are two more in the window. One is probably the b*tch that stung me earlier (I read online that wasps don't die after stinging like bees do--pity). I have a terrible feeling that they're coming in through the swamp cooler. I hope they didn't nest up there. Anyway, Marcus found some old wasp killer out in the shed and is about to try to kill them.
Update: Yay, the wasps are dead!!!

Can I get a redo for this day? I swear this day has been the biggest waste ever.
I got to school and the teacher reviewed for our final tomorrow for about a half hour and then let us go. We couldn't have done that Tuesday and then had the final today? Then I wouldn't have to go take it tomorrow. Oh, well. So, I had time to finish getting stuff ready to turn in for the art show that was due today. I would've done it sooner, but the show is so unorganized this year that every teacher tells you something different about how stuff is supposed to be presented. First I was told that the black paper mats they were in from class were fine. Then I was told I needed to mount them on foamcore. Well, it turned out that things were supposed to be in frames with wire hangers. Not sawtooth, not preformed hanging holes that are part of the frame--wire.
While I was home working on framing, I stepped on a wasp. It got me on the toe next to my big toe. The last time a wasp stung me, I had a really bad allergic reaction. Maybe she didn't get me good enough or my socks helped keep the sting from being worse, but I didn't have an allergic attack. It did hurt like hell, though. I swear it felt like someone had jabbed a really hot needle into my foot. Then my toe swelled up really huge. Later I started a fever and felt totally sick. I thought I was going to faint at work.
After I made dough, I was supposed to drive tonight. The stupid manager told me not to clock in--they weren't busy enough for me to drive. ARGH!!!! I only had two shifts this week anyway, and then this. This is getting so old. How about doing something to increase sales?
