What a Waste

Man, I'm glad this day is almost over. I really hate wasted days like this. I didn't accomplish squat.

The first major winter storm here in the Denver area has occurred and it was all freezing drizzle. It took me a half hour to scrape the 1/8" ice off my windows. Of course, it doesn't help that I broke my scraper in the process. Then it took me almost 90 minutes to get to work because of the totally jacked up traffic. This storm started yesterday, so you'd think that the overpasses and stuff would be well-sanded in time for rush hour. HA! Rush hour tonight was a nightmare. Then it's Halloween and I had to deliver pizza. Could any of these people that ordered bother to de-ice their front porches? No. It's bad enough that I almost killed myself more than once, but what about the poor trick-or-treaters encumbered by costumes and candy? The only good thing about the evening is that it was the first Halloween that I've driven that losers didn't give me candy instead of a tip. Sadly, though, the tips I did get were not what I'd usually get on a holiday or a poor weather night. Oh, well.

Since I got to work late, I didn't get all the dough made that I needed. I think the manager made some condescending remark about it as I was leaving tonight. Creep. So, I'd better get to bed so I can get up early and get the dough made before he gets there in the morning. I'm really starting to hate that guy.

Still Going

Today is Marcus' and my 11th Anniversary of when we "officially" started seeing each other. Wow. Sometimes it's hard to believe it's been that long.

I’m Old

I've been a little down lately. While we were in Vegas, the dry air made all my wrinkles really stand out. For the first time, I really noticed that I was starting to look old. Then, last Friday while listening to the Rush Limbaugh Show, I found out that I'm older than Matt Drudge. That just can't be! *sigh*

Wow

So I went to the Apple store Friday night for the release of OS 10.3 (Panther). We were given these cute little dog tags as a "free gift". Marcus mentioned that they went up for sale right away on eBay and silly me thinks, "Who's going to spend money on eBay for something that was given away free?" I guess many people will, as noted in this eBay search. Some of them are already going for over $20. Weirdos! I swear, if they start going for over $50, I might be tempted to let mine go.

F*ckers

Current mood: bearmood — angry irritated
Well, I just got my first spam comment. I am so sick of this spam crap. There are over 700 messages in my bulk mail box on my Lycos account that I've gotten in the last few days that I need to weed through and over 30 in my regular inbox. People, don't respond to spam in any way, shape or form. This stuff is never going to go away as long as it works for the people that send it out. I guess I'll have to start implementing some of the anti-spam measures that are posted over at ScriptyGoddess later this week. *sigh*

It has also come to my attention that one of the possible reasons that my hours have been cut at work is that the new assistant manager hates me and the head manager has a thing for her. Interesting. While that is mainly gossip and speculation, it sure would explain alot. I've really got to get off my ass this week and find another job.

OK, I'm going to go watch the rest of the Bronco game.
