Thanks to everyone for the kind words and support during the last week. Ursa was more than a dog. She was a best friend, confidante, teddy bear, security blanket, and more than anything, she was family. Even though cancer was wasting away her body and her liver was failing, she never complained. Even though she was miserable, she could still manage a tail wag and a kiss. The decision to have her put to sleep was heartbreaking for us, but it was the only fair thing to do for a dog that had given us so much. I don't think that even now it has sunk in that she is gone. She spent 9 of her 12 years with us. I sure hope she's in a better place. I'm picturing her running through a field chasing bunnies. I'm going to miss her so dang much.
BTW, Marcus made a cool tribute picture for Ursa on his site. Check it out
here.

Sorry, there will not be posts for a few days. My dog is really ill. She won't even drink dog food run through the blender and I had to hold her behind off the ground today so she could pee. Marcus is going to make a vet appointment for Friday. I wish I could say I had hope that this will turn out all right, but I don't. I doubt the next few days are going to be good ones, so I need to take a little break from this. It just isn't that important right now.

OMG, Marcus and I think we're on the verge of becoming yuppies. There we were, Sunday afternoon, sitting outside of Starbucks drinking Mocha Frappacinos and eating Chipotle burritos. ACK! Marcus claims there is a "secret mind-control ingredient" in Starbucks beverages used in their effort to take over the world. Hmmm. Actually, the funny thing was that Marcus had never had a Chipotle burrito before. Whenever I suggested eating there, he poo-pooed the idea. Turns out he thought it was a fancy restaurant. I may have him hooked on those like I got him hooked on Frappacinos. One day a couple of weeks ago, he was upset because the iced coffee drink machine at Diamond Shamrock was broken. I told him he should go to Starbucks and get a Frappacino. It's pretty much the same thing, just more expensive and BETTER. He thought they were the same as the ones in the bottle. I guess I've created a monster because he's pretty much addicted.

1. Do you have a car? If so, what kind of car is it?
Yes, I'm driving a 1995 Subaru Legacy. I LOVE THIS CAR! It's green (my favorite color), all wheel drive. The only thing that would make it better is if it was a stick instead of an automatic.
2. Do you drive very often?
Unfortunately, yes. I live 50 miles from town and have to go there everyday. I put approximately 1000 miles on the old car every week.
3. What's your dream car?
I want a Hummer more than anything (and get your minds out of the gutter!). Subaru is also coming out with a sport truck called a
Baja here in September that is slightly reminiscent of the old Brats they used to produce. That WILL be my next vehicle.
4. Have you ever received a ticket?
Yes, several. My record is clean now, though. It's hard to be a pizza driver and not receive tickets. The only ticket I've had that I disagreed with was the one that I got for an accident I was in.
5. Have you ever been in an accident?
Unfortunatley, a couple of them. They both occurred while I had my brown Nissan 4x4 truck. While I don't consider them to be my fault, technically (according to the police) one was. Both were the result of people running red lights. The one that was considered to be my fault was I was making a left turn and no witnesses stuck around (rush hour traffic on a Friday night) to back up my claim that they guy ran the light.
