While surfing some TT sites, I found a great link at a
fellow Coloradoan's site for
online Drawing lessons. I haven't taken the time I'd like to work on my drawing skills. I'm pretty darned good when I put my mind to it, but like any other skill, you lose it if you don't practice. I'll have to dig out my pencils/sketch pad and delve into this site.

Thirteen Reasons I Look Forward to Fall
- The leaves changing color. It doesn't happen often here in Metro Denver, but once in awhile we'll get a fall where the leaves will actually turn colors other than yellow and brown. I was in Missouri one fall and the leaves were absolutely gorgeous!
- Walking in fallen leaves. I love the crunchy sound and the smell of dead leaves.
- Cooler temperatures. I love snuggling in the blankets with Marcus when the air starts getting just a little chilly (I can't stand downright cold).
- Kids are back in school. I can go to the park or a store during the day and not be surrounded by tons of kids. I can also get some peace and quiet in my house until about 3pm.
- The smell of wood burning. Our neighbors have a wood-burning stove. Burning wood is my favorite smell in the whole world.
- Sweaters. I don't like the pull-over kind, but I love snuggling up in a cardigan sweater.
- The absence of bugs. Especially this year, I'm really looking forward to the mosquitos dying. Stupid bugs.
- Hot Chocolate. I can only drink it when the weather is nippy. Yum!
- Thanksgiving. I love making and eating pumpkin pie. I can only eat it around the holidays, though.
- Daylight Savings ends. I hate the whole notion of screwing with our time, but at least we get that "extra hour" when we "fall back".
- New Fall television shows. There are a few intriguing shows in the line-up this fall. I'm also getting itchy for some of my favorites to return.
- Football. The only professional sport I've ever followed is Denver Broncos football. GO BRONCOS!!!
- Our Anniversary. Even though Marcus and I aren't married, we celebrate our anniversary on October 28th. On that day in 1992, we offically decided to become a couple and it's the first time he said he loved me.

So, either I'm way too dumb to get this or way too smart.
Does MySpace seem overly difficult to use? It all seems so pointless over there. I
have a page, but I don't use it. The pages make my eyes bleed and I hate having to turn of the stupid music. Plus, everytime I try to login, it sends me to a page that says "You have to be logged in to do that." Um, yeah, that's what I was just doing. Also, everything takes so freaking long to do. It sits there forever thinking about doing something, then comes back as an error. It's so lame...I don't get the mass appeal of it.
There are some pages kept up by actors on
The Office and some of
The Mythbusters guys that I would like to check out once in awhile if it wasn't so freakin' difficult. I wish everybody would just have a real blog.

I just got back from storage and I found more supplies that I had bought for that garland...more beads to paint and more yarn, just not the darned instructions!!!!! I threw out a whole trunk load of stuff: stained paper, old coloring books, plastic crates that are cracking because I've had them since my freshman year of college in 1984 (LOL). I didn't realize I still had so many craft supplies over there. I knew I had a box of styrofoam and a box of pinecones. I found my old ukalele that I bought in Hawaii. I wish I had learned to play it. *sigh* I also went through a whole box of old woman's magazines (like Woman's Day and Good Housekeeping) that I had kept for Christmas party ideas. I'm chucking the whole thing. If I ever need to throw a dinner party like that, there are plenty of recipes on the Internet. I giggled at one fo the magazines from 1987, though. The hair! And the shoulder pads! Gotta love '80s fashion!

How in the hell did it get to be almost Labor Day weekend? My 40th birthday is a mere 12 days away! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!
OK, I'm better now. That is all.
