Why can't they put more IHOPs in this town? Marcus and I got off work at 10 am this morning, I hadn't eaten a thing since last night and all I wanted was an IHOP omelette. I love those things, but not enough to wait over a half hour to get a table. So, I came home and had a can of plain tuna fish. Yuck. No food in the house and not in the mood to go grocery shopping. I'll have to go do that soon, though *sigh*.
Why must dogs roll in stinky stuff? Skippy came in this morning and I swear I almost passed out from the smell. We had to lock him in the bathroom while we went to work so he wouldn't get the stink on our bed. The smell had worn off by the time we got home, but he's still getting a bath later. I have no idea what caused the smell, as I can't find what he was rolling on. Oh, well.

I took my Dad to Rosie's Diner for an early Father's Day dinner. It's supposed to be a replica of the diner that was in the Bounty commercials. I had a rib eye sandwich. YUM!
I'm tired of living in Byers. It's too far away from anything cool (50 miles to Denver). I'm tired of working where I work, too. I need to move back to the Denver metro area. It's definitely going to happen as soon as school is done. Marcus and I are both feeling the strain of 4 1/2 years of this commuting crap. We spent $450 between the two of us on gasoline last month. I could've applied for a contract position moving computers on Fridays and Saturdays for six weeks to get some computer-related experience, but Noooooooo, I can't make it work with my current work schedule and the drive time.
A few of my friends are actually graduating from CollegeAmerica today. Congratulations to TIM L., REVERIE K. & GENE F.!!!!

I'm watching one of my favorite television shows right now. "
Gardening by the Yard" on
HGTV. The host, Paul James, is a hoot.
My ultimate favorite television show right now is "
The ScreenSavers" on
TechTv. I love the hosts,
Leo LaPorte and Patrick Norton. Marcus, my boyfriend, used to watch this network all of the time and I just didn't get it. Now that I've got just enough computer knowledge to be dangerous (LOL), I really love watching it, too.
Other favorites are: South Park, CSI, and Survivor.

I cannot wait until I get finished with school. I have enough credits to get my associates degree, but since I am on financial aid, I have to stay until September 20th to get enough hours (or something like that). It's silly either way.
CollegeAmerica Denver is the biggest joke of a school. It's purpose is not to educate, but to financially rape anybody they can convince to come through the door. I want to stand by the elevator and tell everyone who is considering that school to run away as fast as they can. I enrolled in that school for the main purpose of learning networking. Unfortunately, that seems to be the school's weakest area. It's a good thing I'm self-motivated and will probably learn it all eventually, but what a waste of money. A networking instructor even had the gall to tell our class last module that if we really wanted to learn this, we'd have to go out and buy some books (we don't even get to keep books at this stupid institution) and learn it on our own. So, why are we paying thousands of dollars, not to mention his salary, if we have to learn it on our own? I almost quit in December. I'm wishing I had now. If I was not so close to being finished now, I would definitely leave. Well, I'm going to take the next two weeks off. I'll keep studying, just not go to the building. I think I need this to be able to make it until September.

I'm a student at CollegeAmerica Denver. We took our WindowsNT final exams today. Why do people bother spending thousands of dollars if they have no interest in "really" learning how to do the things that they are there to learn? All of these people are so worried about the grade they "got" (earned is more like it) and not worried about the fact that they obviously did not know the material. One girl even bragged after class that she cheated on the installation exam. What is the point? I just don't get it.
