Stiffy the Snowman

Check out this picture--

The place where my boyfriend, Marcus, works is having their annual "Christmas in July" sale, thus the inflatable snowman. We had some really bad storms last week and the poor snowman's head was ripped off. As you can tell, the repairman put the head back on wrong. LMAO I guess this picture circulated all over the company email. Anyway, the snowman was repaired correctly yesterday.

UPDATE: The higher ups there have no sense of humor. He's been told to get rid of all evidence of said snowman.

Internet Bumper Stickers

I found the coolest site today. I'm sure I'm not the first to ever go there, but I thought it was cool.

Man, I'm tired. I got up at midnight (to go to work), stayed up until 10 p.m. studying for a test that never happened, got up at 2 a.m. to go back to work. I'm so not coherent.

I Haven’t Learned Jack

I got an interesting wake up call today. My Win2000 teacher gave us a pop quiz today and guess what? I know nothing. I knew my education was screwed up, I just didn't know how bad. It turns out that was what it was supposed to be, a wake up call. He didn't grade it, fortunately. I answered a whole 4 questions out of 15. He told us our study habits suck and he's right. Sad thing is, I had great study habits at the beginning. It just got pointless to study for tests that were multiple choice and straight out of from the back of the book. It was all I could do not to cry. I am in my fifth networking class and I don't know squat. I'm not going to be able to cram four months of stuff into 6 weeks. It ain't gonna happen. I don't know what I'm gong to do. I know I have got to make myself go talk to this new president. I've been screwed, not only financially, but emotionally as well. Maybe if I can get some sort of partial refund, I can teach myself or go to some other school.

Thanks

I just want to say thanks a lot to all the Californians and Texans who moved to Colorado and drove housing costs so high that I, a native, cannot afford to live here. I make about $32,000/year (nothing to sneeze at) and I couldn't get a house on my income alone. How insane is that? I heard the other day that the median house price in the Denver area is now over $200,000! Even out on the eastern plains, where housing used to be cheap, crackerbox houses are going for better than $150K. When is this madness going to end?
