This Is Freaky

Coup Party Music album coverIS THIS FREAKY OR WHAT?

I saw this posted on Art Bell's web site. Being one to be skeptical of things I find on the Internet, a little searching uncovered this article.

I couldn't believe that the dude didn't want to change the cover. I'm glad the record company had enough sense to recognize the ramifications of releasing it.

Too weird. Isn't it eerie how the cover looks pretty darn close to the real thing?

Dad took me to Hops

Dad took me to Hops for a belated birthday dinner. A Brewmaster steak and shrimp. A glass of light beer with raspberry liqueur. YUM! Heaven. I love that place.

Just Get Along

I'm coming across something more and more as I cruise around the blog world and I find it extremely disturbing. People taking their blogs offline because of how other people are treating them. Why are people so petty? If you don't like someone or how he/she blogs, don't read it and don't bother that person. Blogs are supposed to be for the author and his/her friends, family and interested parties. People need to get a life. I'm tired a losing an interesting read because other people suck.

Don’t Panic

I wish people wouldn't panic when bad things happen. Stocking up on food, waiting in line for gasoline, etc. are not necessary for the kind of tragedy experienced yesterday. I couldn't believe it when I heard some gas stations in the midwest were charging $5/gallon for gasoline. I know people feel the need to do SOMETHING when they feel powerless; however, acting on irrational fears often make them come true. I can't wait to see how people react to the NY Stock Exchange being closed for most of a week. Try to live as normal a life as possible. If you give in to your fears and quit living your life, the terrorists won.

I also feel terribly sad that it takes an event like this to make people feel patriotic. They were talking on the news about how there has been a rush on purchasing American flags. Everyone should already own one to fly proudly on any given patriotic holiday.

Stuff

Everybody has links on their blogs to stuff about the former WTC towers in New York. I found this guy's eye witness account incredible. This site depicts the various stages of the towers' demise. Jish.nu, the commentary here was very interesting. Irma is a student who lives in New York. Her accounts of how the horrific events are affecting her are heart wrenching.

I'm truly angered by the footage of the Palestinians partying over the news of the US attack. They should be ashamed. I would never whoop it up over the deaths of innocent people, no matter what my political, world, or religious view. Of course, they don't view US citizens as innocent. Still......

I know people are angry and looking for people to blame, but please don't take your anger out on any Middle Eastern looking person you see. The only people responsible for this tragedy are the ACTUAL PERPETRATORS.

On a personal note, I hate it when things like this happen that tie people to their televisions for the whole evening. They all end up ordering pizza for dinner. This happened during Desert Storm and the Oklahoma City bombing. I had to make 29 batches of dough today. It took me 11 hours to do all the prep, so I had to miss school. This wouldn't be a bad thing except that the actual sales ($$) didn't go up enough to make it worth the extra work. I get paid a percentage of total sales, not for the amount of work I do.

Missing school was not a bad thing except that crappy networking instructor quit last Thursday (yay!) and they got us a new one for the last couple of weeks. Finally, he seems to know what he's talking about.

ONLY 5 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT!
