Missing Stryper

So, how weird is this?

I was driving down Buckley Rd./Airport Blvd. on my way home from school today and I got stopped at the traffic light by Aurora's technical school (Pickens). It just happens to be across the street from the veterinary office where I had to have my rabbit, Stryper, put down about six years ago. I couldn't help it, but I started bawling and missing him terribly. Probably due to sleep deprivation more than anything, but the pain I felt was just as bad as that day. I'm going to have to put Styper's story on my pets page. He was a good bunny.

I Got Them Done!

I finished the thumbnails! How pathetic am I, though? I was doing some of them in the car in the school's parking lot and, luckily, the teacher had to deal with a new student that gave me a few extra minutes to finish the last two. (whew!) He said he really liked my work and was impressed. WhooHoo! So, I've had less than 8 hours of sleep in the last two nights. As soon as I finish tomorrow's assignment (should be less than an hour), I'm off to dreamland! Yay!

Somebody's using my lycos mail address to send spam. I found this out because the undeliverable ones were sent to me. Does anyone know what I can do to find out who is doing this and make them stop? I wonder if this constitutes identity theft and fraud or if it's just immoral. People truly suck!

When Will I Finish These?

Twelve (12) down, eight to go. Man, these are taking forever. Sucks that I have to leave for work at midnight. Doesn't look like I'm getting any sleep tonight. Boo!

Thumbnail Hell

I'm trying to do 20 thumbnail sketches for newspaper ads that are due in class tomorrow. I've got six done and I'm supposed to be in bed already. Argh!

The Hayman fire is bad when the ash has finally made it all the way to Byers. I just went out to get the mail and it's floating all over out there. Ick.

I had to take Marcus' truck in to town again. He tried to put the starter in last night, but since we have no garage, the mosquitos were thick and the old starter wouldn't let go of the engine block, he returned the starter and had my mechanic install one. It only cost about $30 more than the part did, so that's cool. I still don't have the money right now, but I'll work something out with Marcus.

Well, back to thumbnail sketching.....

Eight from the Eighties

Late as usual, I know:

Eight from the Eighties

1) Girls of the world ain't nothin' but...
Shallow, back-stabbing, two-faced, pains-in-the-butt. Ouch, did I type that? Sorry, even though I am technically a girl, I've never got along with them much and most of my good "girlfriends" are more of the tomboyish type. I'd rather hang out with a bunch of guys anyday.

2) Who's the meaning in your life, who's your inspiration?
It is my boyfriend, Marcus. Some days I don't think I'd be able to go on if he wasn't around. My friend Traci is also a great source of inspiration.

3) What do people like about you? (Bonus: Do you really know how to dance?)
I don't know, does anybody even like me? Just kidding, but you'd have to ask them.
Sorry, I don't dance. Not that I couldn't, I just never learned how. I used to try when I clubbed in the 80's. Of course, I was ususally extremely intoxicated.

4) Are you an innocent wo/man?
Nope, haven't been for a veeeeeery long time.

5) Is your house in the middle of your street?
No, actually, it's at the very end. Thank goodness we only have icky white trash neighbors on one side of the house.

6) Did you have Pac-Man fever?
I did. I think we had it on our old Atari game system. I really sucked at it, though. I know my mom kicked butt on it.

7) Do you always feel like, somebody's watching you? And you have no privacy? (Woah, oh, oh, oh.)
Yes, Yes I do (see yesterday's rant). I can hardly wait until the day Marcus and I have our acreage and I can truly have privacy.

8) Why do they call it the blues?
I know it's based on the jazz term, but I don't know where that name originated, either, and I'm too lazy to look it up. I wish there was a different term because I actually like the color blue. It's a serene and peaceful color. They really should call it the grays or olive greens or something yucky like that.
