Current mood:
apathetic
Well, my big project for school is due tomorrow at 8 am. I just finished what I could to turn in, for all the good it will do me. I'm pretty sure I can't pass this class without a finished piece and I have no idea if I'll ever have one. The jerk hasn't bothered to contact me at all. I'd really be stressed if the printer hadn't emailed me. What really stinks is he mentioned something about leaving this week for Thanksgiving. Yippee. All I know is, I'm not doing the rest of the projects he wanted done. He can just go screw around someone else. I don't have the time or the energy to deal with people like this. For all I know, I'd do the other work and then get jerked around like this when it came time to get paid. Maybe I'll get a better client when I have to retake this class.
Have I ever mentioned how much I truly hate K-Mart stores? I totally forgot I needed a report cover for this project until around 8:30 this (Sunday) evening. The roads are still all crappy from the storm Saturday, so I figured I'd just pop into K-Mart right down the street since it's open 24 hours. What a nightmare. For starters, it's a school night. Why is the place full of children? Then the place has no report covers. I settled on a really thin three-ring binder. I've got a really bad viral upper respiratory infection right now, so I decided to pick up some cherry Halls cough drops. Nope, don't have any of those, either. Then the cleaning lady sweeps trash right over my feet. Does she even acknowledge that she did anything remotely wrong? Nope. I've got to remember to never go in there ever, ever again.
The good news is I got two days worth of dough done at work this morning and I don't have to go there at all tomorrow. Maybe I can get some much-needed housework done around here. I also have to go do the Thanksgiving feast grocery shopping. Oh, I guess I have some work to do for my other class, too. That shouldn't take too long. I have to research some quirks in Acrobat 6. Maybe I can get that done at school tomorrow. That would be nice.
Anyway, I guess I had better go try to get some sleep.

Damn it, it's SNOWING! Why, why, why, why, why? I have to work tonight and I absolutely hate delivering in the snow. *sigh*
I only like snow when I can stay home, start a fire in the fireplace, snuggle up under a blankie on the couch with a mug of steaming hot chocolate and watch movies all night long.
Now I'm wishing I wasn't broke so I could call in sick to work.

This
holiday snowglobe is kind of cool (found via
Lisa. Watch it for a while (reminds me of the game Lemmings) then shake it all up. Too funny. I've got to learn to do stuff like that!

Current mood:
extremely disappointed
Well, it's official. I did not get a piece printed in time to turn in for school. Asshole. Tuesday he calls me and there is a problem: he thought the postcards were supposed to be 6 x 4 instead of 8.5 x 5.5. I double-checked this over and over and over with him. The 6 x 4 cards were supposed to be the ones to send to individuals (I haven't done them yet because he hasn't sent the picture he wants on it) and the larger ones were for lawyers and professional types of people. I think he had a price in his head and they were for the smaller ones and when he want to order them he realized how much more money they were and tried to change them at the last minute. Either that or it's his memory problem I once again think he has. Anyway, I got an email today from the printer (not him, the printer) telling me that they didn't make it into this week's run because the client didn't bother setting up a paypal account beforehand (the only way he takes credit cards) and since he hadn't received payment, he couldn't print them. *sigh* The bright side is if I have to take this class over, at least I'll know to dump the client early if he/she shows signs of doing this to me again, right?
UPDATE: gee, look what my horoscope for today was:
Virgo
You knew everything was going along a little too smoothly and today you finally hit that bump in the road you knew was coming. There are inevitable setbacks to deal with, but luckily they are much more minor than you may have anticipated. Standing a few feet back from the wreckage will allow you to get a little better perspective on what might have caused the problem. Once you know how this breakdown happened, it will be much easier to avoid a similar incident in the future.
