Because I'm becoming a lemming and because this will give me something to look forward to everyday, I've decided to participate in the 100 Facts About Me in 100 Days that I've seen absolutely everywhere lately.
#1: I'm allergic to cats.
We found this out the hard way. Nobody had a clue I was allergic since there had been a cat in our house when I was born.
I don't remember how old I was (it was before I started school) and our family went to visit some people (no clue who they were anymore). I remember going to this house where the old lady had a ton of cats. My memory says there were close to a hundred, but my child's mind could've exaggerated that. I'll have to ask Dad one day for sure. I just remember it seems like there were cats on every surface. Anyway...I remember playing with some kittens that were in a shower or something and then I remember my eyes itching. Then I got very hot and couldn't breathe. I went to find my mother because my eyes were swelling shut. I don't remember much after that until I was home on the couch. I think my grandmother was there, also. She had been a nurse. I guess I had broken out in terrible hives. They kept putting cool wash clothes on my head and flushing my eyes with Visine or something. Not fun!
Now, I can still have a reaction even if a cat hasn't been present in ages. It's really hard to rid a place of cat dander.

With the process of job-hunting in overdrive mode this week, I didn't get around to posting this until now.
Thirteen Things I Hate About Looking for Work/Being Unemployed
- Would it kill somebody to acknowledge that my resume and samples were received?
- Why does it take over a month in this electronic age to get an unemployment check, especially when I applied online?
- Employers want to pay $10/hr for a job that should get $40K or more.
- Benefits? We don't offer no stinking benefits.
- It's not my fault I only had 7mo. experience at my first related job—the company went out of business.
- Seeing a job reposted that I was wholly qualified for—what was wrong with me? (see #1)
- All putting a resume on monster.com does is bring out people looking for insurance salespeople and work-at-home scams.
- I am bored.
- I'm starting to feel worthless.
- In all the jobs I've applied for, only two have been thoughtful enough to inform me that they went with another candidate.
- Why put out a call for resumes for a job that isn't actually starting until months from now?
- All the "cool" jobs are over an hour from my house (I can't afford to pay over $250/mo. for gas to get to work).
- The placement lady at my school quit just when I needed her and they still haven't found a replacement.

Sent to me from my friend, Cindy:
Dear Lord,
Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:
God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.
And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.
Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.
You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.
I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.
By faith is how I know them -
Much the same as you -
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.
Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.
Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits "send".
When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.com
AMEN

OK, I'm cleaning out my inbox and I found a link to a comic that I sent myself over a year ago about waiting for
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to come out:
http://wheretheresawil.kiwibonga.com/random/index.php?id=025.jpg
I read the book again for the sixth time (I think it was the sixth) over the past two days. I wish J.K. Rowling would get the darned 7th book finished so I can move on with my life. LOL Besides, they have to get the movies into production before the actors are too old to play teenagers anymore. It will suck if Harry Potter is anybody other than Dan Radcliff (IMHO).
I also want to see if my theories are correct. I came up with a new one. You know how Dumbledore's hand wouldn't heal? What if Voldemort's soul moved from the Horcrux ring into him? What if that is why had begged for Snape to kill him? It was the only way to destory that bit of soul. I still believe he'll be back (ala Gandalf). He knew it was ok to be killed because his animagus is a Phoenix and he'll be back. Hmmm, maybe I'll do some googling and see if anybody else drew that same conclusion.

Wow, I'm posting so much today, it's almost like Blogathon, part deux.
Because of the same reasons I lost track of the Broncos, I'm waaaaaay behind in my blogging technology. I'm hoping that as a result of a new job, I will get a camera phone. I keep hearing about moblogging and seeing moblog posts on people's sites (usually pics) and since I know it's a module within Expression Engine, I want to learn more about it. Is there a really good tutorial or explanation about it out there? What are you own personal experiences with using it? I'm starting to delve into the EE manual, the EE forums and such, but any additional help anybody reading this could offer would be greatly appreciated.
