I heard a version of this joke on 850 KOA's Sports Zoo yesterday. The following text for the joke was found
here.
A new employee is hired at the Tickle Me Elmo factory. The personnel manager explains her duties, and tells her to report to work promptly at 8:00 AM.
The next day at 8:45AM, there's a knock at the personnel manager's door. The assembly line foreman comes in and starts ranting about this new employee. He says she's incredibly slow, and the whole line is backing up.
The foreman takes the personnel manager down to the factory floor to show him the problem. Sure enough, Elmos are backed up all over the place. At the end of the line is the new employee.
She has a roll of the material used for the Elmos and a big bag of marbles. They both watch as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles, and starts sewing the little package between Elmo's legs.
The personnel manager starts laughing hysterically. After several minutes, he pulls himself together, walks over to the woman, and says, "I'm sorry, I guess you misunderstood me yesterday. Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles."

Man, I was sooooo freaking bored today. I have all this stuff I need to do, but I just couldn't make myself do anything. Ok, I did manage to load the dishwasher before I went to work. I just plopped my ass on the couch and watched tv and dozed off and on. Oh, well. I'll more than make up for today's lack of action tomorrow.

Has anybody ever soaked a turkey in brine prior to roasting? Every year I see this on various television channels and wonder if it really makes a roast turkey better. If anyone has ever tried it, for better or worse, leave a comment and let me know. Thanks!

Well, my teacher is not going to fail me for not having a printed piece today. She did request, however, that I go to Kwik Kopy and have a couple of good color copies made so that it shows that my files were made correctly. So, I need to go do that today. If I ever do get a printed piece, then I can show it to her. I finally got a voicemail this morning from the stupid client with all the excuses why he hadn't got a Paypal account set up yet, blah, blah, blah. I'm still doubting whether it will be printed this week. I am so washing my hands of all of this. It was a good learning experience, though. I've got to learn not to be so naive and if it feels wrong, get out of it. You think I would've learned that after the CollegeAmerica fiasco. People lie.
Well, I've got to make my Thanksgiving shopping list (I thought I had one on my computer somewhere from last year and can't find it). After I get home from the printer and shopping, I'm going to take a nap. Everyone have a great day!

Well, my big project for school is due tomorrow at 8 am. I just finished what I could to turn in, for all the good it will do me. I'm pretty sure I can't pass this class without a finished piece and I have no idea if I'll ever have one. The jerk hasn't bothered to contact me at all. I'd really be stressed if the printer hadn't emailed me. What really stinks is he mentioned something about leaving this week for Thanksgiving. Yippee. All I know is, I'm not doing the rest of the projects he wanted done. He can just go screw around someone else. I don't have the time or the energy to deal with people like this. For all I know, I'd do the other work and then get jerked around like this when it came time to get paid. Maybe I'll get a better client when I have to retake this class.
Have I ever mentioned how much I truly hate K-Mart stores? I totally forgot I needed a report cover for this project until around 8:30 this (Sunday) evening. The roads are still all crappy from the storm Saturday, so I figured I'd just pop into K-Mart right down the street since it's open 24 hours. What a nightmare. For starters, it's a school night. Why is the place full of children? Then the place has no report covers. I settled on a really thin three-ring binder. I've got a really bad viral upper respiratory infection right now, so I decided to pick up some cherry Halls cough drops. Nope, don't have any of those, either. Then the cleaning lady sweeps trash right over my feet. Does she even acknowledge that she did anything remotely wrong? Nope. I've got to remember to never go in there ever, ever again.
The good news is I got two days worth of dough done at work this morning and I don't have to go there at all tomorrow. Maybe I can get some much-needed housework done around here. I also have to go do the Thanksgiving feast grocery shopping. Oh, I guess I have some work to do for my other class, too. That shouldn't take too long. I have to research some quirks in Acrobat 6. Maybe I can get that done at school tomorrow. That would be nice.
Anyway, I guess I had better go try to get some sleep.
