Oh, man! That shower felt awesome! I needed to get away from the computer a bit anyway. Marcus also needed to use my scanner, so it all worked out!
I got to thinking about ghosts while in the shower. Who knows where that came from? I was remembering how Marcus said he was getting concerned about me right before we moved away from Deer Trail because I didn't want to be there alone. I used to hear a voice yell my name sharply to wake me up for no reason. At first I thought it was my subconscious. It happend once during waking hours and really freaked me out. I knew the place was haunted and I don't know that the spirits were bad, but I certainly didn't feel comfortable there. Unlike the spirit(s) that inhabited the last pizza place I worked at. Those spirits were just mischievious. The liked to startle me or screw with my timer, but I never felt frightened. Annoyed, yes. Scared to be there, no.

Those of you that have read here a long time know that I was gung-ho learning CSS 2.5-3 years back. Somewhere between then and when I got out of school, I got burned out and quit caring. One of the reasons my poor web site has remained essentially the same since that time period. Well, upon the recommendation of
Shalla and
Joelle, I procured myself of copy of
CSS Master: Advanced Web Standards Solutions before I lost my job. So far, it's been a very interesting read. As soon as I recover from the Blogathon, I'll delve deeper. It would be awesome if I could find a job actually using some of my web skills before they totally rot.

OK, decided to turn the webcam back on for awhile. Wow, I really look tired. Watch me not be able to sleep once I go to bed!
It's gonna be another near-record scorcher today. While checking to see what the current temp is (93°F), I came across the page for 9news ads that pissed me off. It's lame, people. You can't copy
Apple and not look like
total losers. Besides, the Mac guys is waaaaay cuter than the 9news website guy.
I wonder if Apple can sue over something like that?

If it hasn't been painfully aware yet, cycling is important in our household. Marcus had a
gentleman's bet with his best friend as to the Tour winner. It was no surprise that Floyd Landis became embroiled in a doping scandal. Charges were levereged against Lance for every single one of his Tour wins. The claim is that Landis' testosterone/epitestosterone ratio is off. Nevermind that the ratio has been changed this year from 6:1 to 4:1, that some men naturally produce more testosterone, etc. I shouldn't have been brought up unless the secondary tests proves something amiss. I hope that Floyd is cleared of these accusations, but I guess it's something you've got to get used to if you're an American cyclist.
