Six weeks! Wow, I was thinking this time was never going to come. I've been staying away from all things HP lately because it makes waiting harder, but today I gave in and went to Mugglenet. I picked myself up that neat little countdown for the top of the page there. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is coming out in a little over a month. w00t! I have a 101 in 1001 site that I haven't publicized much because I wanted to design it first, but one of my goals was to knit a Gryffindor scarf before the book arrives. Well........since I haven't learned to knit yet, not sure I'll make that goal. I think it's only a knit stitch. Maybe I can do it. I've got all the supplies.

Another cool bit of HP news that I forgot to mention recently is the theme park they're going to build in Orlando. I am so going to go see this place. I've always wanted to go to Florida.

You know you're getting close to the book release when a big announcement is made revealing the cover art. For J.K. Rowling's final book seven of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, that announcement came this past Wednesday on The Today Show. [via Shalla]

I found a link with a large version of the entire cover art and immediately made it into my computer's desktop image. I'd post a pic of it, but there are a ton of files on my desktop, obscuring the image. Maybe once I get those files put away or thrown out.

Well, it is now official: The final installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be published on Saturday, July 21st! I just heard the news on channel 2 and verified it on J.K. Rowling's site. Yay!!! It's not yet available for preorder on Amazon, yet, but I did get myself on the email list to order it as soon as it is available.

Update: Of course, Amazon sends me the preorder email shortly after I made this post. I've secured myself a copy...have you?

It appears the final book 7 of the Harry Potter saga finally has a title. Nina sent me an email from Borders and I've confirmed at both Mugglenet and J.K. Rowling's site. The door on Jo's site is open and the book name is her Christmas gift to her fans. If you don't want to go figure the puzzle out yourself, there is a video of the process in the extended. I can't wait for the book to come out, but I'll be sad it's over at the same time.

Speaking of Harry Potter, ABC Family channel has been played Prisoner of Azkaban alot. I loooooooove Severus Snape! *sigh*
