Makes Me Wanna Dance

The New York stations I watch on Dish Network keep playing Six Flags commercials. Even though Marcus and I hate the whole Six Flags organization with a passion and have vowed to never give them another penny of our money (and it really sucks that they bought Elitches), I love that Mr. Six guy. I also really like the theme song they play. I kept meaning to find out if that was a real song or someting that Six Flags had composed, but never got around to it. Today I had my faithful Vaio laptop on when I saw the commercial and Googled "Six Flags Theme Song." It turns out to be a song called "We Like To Party!" by the Vengaboys. So, I checked iTunes and sure enough, they had it. Fortunately, I have a couple of iTunes Pepsi credits left, so I purchased it. It doesn't totally make the gloom go away, but it helped.

HP Withdrawl

I'm going through serious Harry Potter withdrawl. I wish that July 16th would hurry and get here (four months as of tomorrow)! I'm watching Sorcerer's Stone right now, but I need a book 6 fix!

The other day Marcus and I were out and a car passed us with a "My Other Car Is A Nimbus 2000" bumper sticker. I said that it couldn't be. "Why not?" he asked. "Because a Nimbus 2000 is a broom. If you read Harry Potter, you'd know that!"

Another Reason for Netflix

I'm sitting here watching Gilmore Girls right now and Lorelai just said she Netflixed all three A Star is Borns. Fusing two things I love: Netflix and Gilmore Girls. So, is Netflix a verb now?

Zoo Pics

I forgot to mention with this week's chaos that we went to the zoo last weekend. Pics are posted in the gallery. Excuse some of the blurry and/or dark ones. Kids kept bumping me as I was shooting. I'll lighten some of the dark ones later when I get a chance.

Can’t Wait For July

Current mood: bearmood — excited excited
I totally forgot to mention two days ago that J.K. Rowling opened the door on her site again and announced that the publication date for book six, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," would be announced within the next 24 hours. Readers of her site were speculating at Mugglenet.com that perhaps the announcement would come on Christmas (coinciding with the advent calendar on the extras page). Yay for early surprises!

I had heard the announcement on the radio yesterday morning about the book being release on July 16th. It was made official when I received this in my email today:

Guess I know what I'll be reading mid-July! I can't wait!!!!!
